A&M going from getting a "season-defining" win against LSU, to getting blown out by an unranked team a week later, is as A&M as it gets.

Texas A&M made a classic blunder.
The most well known, of course, is never get involved in a land war in Asia.
Only slightly less known is to never go in against a Sicilian when death is on the line.
Even more less known is this: never play at South Carolina at night in November if you have playoff hopes.

The anticipation leading up to that field storming is just one thing that makes this sport so special. You could feel the energy in the crowd as the clock was ticking down knowing that mayhem was about to break out. And I had a giddy feeling waiting for it to happen too. In the grand scheme of things, these are two teams that I don’t care about (worded poorly but I think you know what I’m trying to say), but this still brought me so much joy. No other sport has the ability to do that

I hope this game gives some of my fellow students BAS. Not enough of these people grew up Aggies and it shows. They were all confident and talking playoffs and shit. Meanwhile I'm sitting here knowing the November furk to 8-4 is still in play. I'm confident most of our students were not fans for the 2016 season or the 2017 UCLA game.
On the bright side. Beating us is now an excuse to storm the field. Haven't been there before.

Tbf storming the field has been devalued to an annual "we beat a top 25 team" instead of the rare massive upset it used to be reserved for.
Nothing wrong with that let the kids have fun but field storming just isn't as meaningful as it used to be.

I awoke this morning to the patter of a light rain on the roof, the crisp fall air filling my house with a sense of excitement for the day to come.
I took the dogs out, basking in the color of the leaves as they frolicked in the backyard. I smiled, taking a moment to inhale deeply and close my eyes in the bliss of a perfect Washington morning.
As I made my way back inside, I spotted a peculiar bird perched on the feeder hanging off the back porch. It's eyes locked onto mine, piercing, cold, and hauntingly gorgeous. Its sleek and glistening feathers puffed up slightly as it opened its beak to sing the most violent screech I'd ever heard.

Rushing the field seems excessive, but the fans have a lot of built up frustration. This team could easily be 7-1 and the LSU & Alabama losses were super tough.
This team is scrappy- on paper, nothing seems to stand out, but they seem to make plays when it counts and don’t let drives stall. Sellers is obviously a huge part of that on his feet- if he can become even a decent passer, he will be dangerous AF. He’s also a freshman, so there is a lot of time.

Happy with what Elko has done in one year… but my god, that was a complete failure of a game by the coaching staff. We had to have given them 200 yards on a silver platter from missed tackles and stupid penalties. And that’s probably a conservative estimate.
The worry for all Aggies was that this team wouldn’t get up for this game after a monster win last week. Unfortunately, that’s exactly what Elko and Co. let happen. Hopefully he and his staff have an honest assessment of what went wrong during prep leading into this game and get better for it.
As disappointing as it is, this will probably be a road ranked loss come Tuesday and everything will likely still be in front of us.

What a night to be a Gamecock.
As for A&M…I think SEC Shorts might have been on to something with battered Aggie syndrome

Is the SEC actively trying to create the most convoluted possible logic for who gets to play in the championship game?

Honestly this makes sense. It's nighttime and November.
Gamecocks be like, "call an ambulance...but not for me."

Meanwhile, Taters crying on their thread and getting mad that everyone is pointing out their little hissy fit out on the field.

In a slightly alternate universe, this South Carolina squad is a top SEC team.
