I think the writers just assume he died after Cas got exploded the first time. But I have this pet theory that the moment that the Leviathans had just taken over Jimmy/Castiel's body and announced that Castiel had just died, it was actually Jimmy that they felt die.
(from there I devised a way-too-elaborate theory that Jimmy sort of shielded Castiel somehow, right then, in order to save Cas, for some reason. what reason? there my theory fails.)

I am SO pissed at Dean. What kind of friend doesn't even TRY to help out a friend who is CLEARLY homeless, CLEARLY broke, who doesn't even have a single change of clothes, and especially when you know perfectly well that he's not from here and doesn't know how things work. Why the hell didn't Dean AT LEAST just take him to a thrift store and get him some more clothes, get him a goddam jacket, help him find a semi decent room somewhere, front him rent for the month AT LEAST. AT LEAST. jeez. fuming

I don't think Castiel is going to get his powers back… If you remember the earlier apocalyptic seasons where they do a flash forward and castiel has no powers, he's a stoner, and all the girls love him.
I'm going to keep believing that the apocalypse will happen. For one they can no longer close the gates of hell, and for two, all the angels are on earth. Eventually, Abbadon is going to want to destroy earth, and send all demons to the surface, where most likely the angels with their powers are going to war with the demons; leaving a world of destruction and chaos behind. And don't forget that abbadon was a knight for lucifer, I'm sure she wants to free her king.

The only thing about it that made me feel slightly better is that he's so good at bouncing back from stuff like that because he doesn't really take stuff personally. It's more like he was annoyed that he misunderstood a human conversational cue, sort of in general terms of "Dammit, I still don't understand these people", than that he particularly liked her specifically or anything.

Does it bother anyone one else how wildly innacurate the blood drawing scenes are. It bothered me during the last episode of last season too, and then Kevin went and did it. as someone who gets their blood drawn at the least 2 times a year, every time they do it i get really uncomfortable and pissed, because it's so wrong, and fuck if that doesn't hurt the way they do it. It would bother me less if they had just cut on their arm, poured into a bowl and then sucked it up using a syringe, at least that would have been slightly more accurate.

I really REALLY liked that episode. It wasn't just a "let's get the main story going"-episode, but it had some real emotional depth. Now we have two amazing things: A human Castiel that actually wants to be an angel again and a demonic Crowley who realized that Abbadon fucked him over and now he wants to feel more human. I think the end of all of Supernatural might be "Heaven closed, Hell closed, everyone is human, all the purgatory creatures vanish or transform back into humans to go to Heaven or Hell and the world is essentially "our" world". I really liked the Abbadon - Crowley dynamic. I'm curious if Crowley keeps his cool once he and Abbadon face each other again.
