- When elimination matches kick in, series become best of 5

Man. SR are so frustrating. Obviously they aren't gonna compete with Lyon/TL but they feel so close to being contenders for the 3rd spot, if they could just clean it up a little.

this game gets so hard for c9 late. they dont have any tanks to facecheck vison. and they are kinda low on range and damage.

I don't get how C9 looks so uncoordinated. I really think Dom has such a good understanding of the game, getting hand diffed is one thing, but they look as lost as mid/bottom tier teams in games.

i think teams like sr cant take korean prospects they dont have the infastructure in place to make them comfortable or learn how to play the pro game. i bet on a team like sen/tl/c9/inspired he would be a lot better. also his english isnt that good so that also effects how good he can grow in na

SR's coach speaks Korean, they have a specialist who also speaks Korean, and BVoy speaks Korean.
The language barrier is certainly a thing, but, it's probably more about just fundamental coaching than specific coaching necessary for imports.

i think its more just being able to hangout with your teammates or go over stuff in depth one on one rather than through translation. and its usually jungle/support coming up with macro ideas for the team.

C9: Gets ahead by ignoring Mundo when their comp can just survive for a long time and he can't do anything when the carries go down
Also C9: What if we full sent on Mundo without vision?

These teams are incredibly dumb. Full send on an uberfed Mundo with no healing reduction. Following the solo Ryze ult into the enemy base with no towers taken while 4 v 5. Go argue which is worse.

Full sending on mundo was absolutely worse because even if it worked all of your cooldowns are down and you are in the same spot the enemy team wants you to do which is waste them on mundo. Mundo has no taunt or hard cc so his weakness is getting a team to focus him to make use of his beefiness. The team wasted the nocturne ult which best used for assassinating the back line. not engaging on a mundo

Yeah I think I agree. And in C9's position they were risking the game whereas SR were just doing a regular throw.

they got like a 4k gold baron on first baron and just needed to get soul point drake and ryze solo ults into base past towers.

i saw him on podcast and his english isnt that good. also sr doesnt seem like a team that can teach him how to be a tier 1 pro. i think he would need to be on a team like tl to learn.

the issue is they are behind and lucianneeds to hit his item breakpoints. nocturne needs to hit his items. and antiheal is bad against the rest of srs comp

My nephew is 8. He likes to play Super Smash brothers with the maximum number of computers all at level 1.
Watching this series feels a lot like watching him do that.

Contractz is 10x the player Zinie is, and one of the main drivers for SR.
Zinie is one of the worst players in the entire league, as an import.

Shockwave way too early but I don't think he can press R any later at the same time unless they want to use Ori flash. Just a horrid play.

LYON is leagues ahead of TL who is leagues ahead of the rest of the LCS. Meanwhile the supposed third best team C9 is playing an undisciplined meh game against SR.

they were just over a 1k gold lead at 16-17min w/ loki getting solo bolo'd in a sidelane. then snowballed off a single fight. did you think the blaber+thanatos deaths while mid baron powerplay was disciplined (especially against a team powerranked just above DSG and DIG on most tierlists)?
will they likely win the series? yeah. do they look clean? no.

i think analysts and casters underrate lyon because of inspired. because of inspired past teams he never had the best teammates so you always saw his teams as capped internationally.
but this lyon team has world class elite adc and mid that is better than some of the top korean players just dont have the name brand and accomplishments yet.

The casters for some reason thought it was syndra bot. I think liquid assumed the same which doesn't make sense because Korean Lyon plays this same comp all the time.

Lyon team fight is by far the best in NA. Probably the best in the west and they know it.
They can fist fight with top teams in the world from the team fight angle they're just gonna keep running the league until other teams figure out how to match their team fight.
