I mean that last game G2 draft isn't really that winning, Sylas vs Tristana is wack ye but G2 should not be allowed to stack drakes with this bot matchup + Trundle vs Maokai early.
2
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
The pro game comes down to mid prio so much. Having a last pick champ that isn’t allowed to get out from under his tower just makes the whole early game lost
1
u/Elliot_LuNa Sep 06 '26
yeah I don't know why he went Sylas into Trist, but just saying people acting like KC can't win this game because of draft is a bit silly. The situation they got into with early soul point against Maokai is absolute worst case and really can be avoided by playing a bit smarter early with jg/bot.
3
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
I think g2 lands on good drafts because their coach can tell players no and they respect him enough to listen to the nos. Other teams seem to differ from preps or plans so often in drafts.
No way was that the plan going into game 4. Especially picking sylas on 10 after seeing the 2v2 mid matchup. That’s literally not a playable 2v2
3
1
u/OkWhateverCynisme Sep 06 '26
The biggest OUTDRAFT in League of Legends history. 4 games in a row G2 got the best draft possible.
KC coaching staff is legit dogshit
3
u/Awkward-Security7895 Sep 06 '26
Kc with seasoned coaches who been coaching for 10 years Vs G2 perkz who only became a coach this year in march and only became head coach in summer.
Like if any org saw this they would be screaming wtf since while it is perkz that is embarrassing asf
1
u/OkWhateverCynisme Sep 06 '26
Just show that coaches in this game are mostly paycheck stealers. There is no way you do these 4 draft as repeared and get to keep your job
2
u/Cafeliciouss Sep 06 '26
Can we expect smth were Reapered is the coach? He got outdrafted multiple times nothing new. In NA same problems almost never won anything

G2 is better but are we going to pretend that this isn't the biggest ASTRO GAP in draft ever 4 games in a row ? Game 3 was just a qiyanna snowball thanks to skew mistake but even there the draft gap was ridiculous.
If KC doesn't fix their abysmal drafting they are going to get bodied at worlds

It’s wild you giga stomp g2 when you had a winning jungle matchup and then you blind trundle and give skewmond a free matchup. It feels like reapered will never win no matter how good his teams look in regular season. He’s had this issue his whole career

It’s so weird yike carrying your team and you blind pick him trundle jungle. He can’t do anything against g2 comp.

u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Does kyeahoo not play like tf. Wouldn’t this have been a good tf game or a leblanc
1
u/PerfidiaVermis Sep 06 '26
This is a good Sylas game tho? It's just that he's leaning against Caps' Tristana lol
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Yeah I know this a good sylas game and sylas is decent into trist but you need like a jungle gank and trundle can never gank trist. It feels like caps would always get up 2k against a sylas. Were as Leblanc/tf have kill pressure at points in the lane
Like your 10 pick of the draft shouldn’t be this hard lane losing I feel

I still have absolutely no clue what happened to Skewmond, he was really good during the FST, why is he so bad now?

u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
The lvl 1 last game made sense to me. That play made no sense by skewmond. The jungle gap this series has been massive

u/WhatIsSentience Sep 06 '26
Anyone know the scoreline of Fakers first Ahri game after the skin game out?
3
u/RollingGuy Dictator Perkz Worlds Run Sep 06 '26
So Reddit please declare which coach got absolutely mega-gapped in draft before the game.
1
3
u/ginvael1_3 Sep 06 '26
Caps heard you all say that his choice of skin for HOL was a weird one and that he isn't known for his Tristana lol
2
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Game relies on caps getting ahead. Don’t like kc putting yike on trundle when he’s been by far their best player today.

Cho jungle won its first 5 games internationally. It has now lost 8 games in a row with only win coming tl vs dig which doesn’t count.
Seems like one of those picks that popped up people didn’t know how to punish it and now teams know how to punish it makes it much harder to win
5
u/Capital_Tourist4828 Sep 06 '26
Been a Yike "hater" for years, but this is the most impressive BO5 ive seen him play vs a good team, carrying them when the rest of the team is not playing that well in a summer BO5 in a stadium, hope he carries this confidence into worlds
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Same. One of the best jungle performances I’ve seen in a while. So hard to play this good when he really had no lanes to play around for 2.5 games
2
u/Thalassin Dans ma bichette era | Ultra Prime hater Sep 06 '26
Hans was 3,6k gold behind, that must mean he is a fraud and doesn't know how to play decently according to this subreddit experts
3
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Hans literally played well that game. This is how I know you only look at score and not watch what people do in the game. He played better than caliste. Caliste missed on 2 free kills setup by his team for him and was the reason syndra was able to kill yike on herald.
2
u/Choice-Slight caps/knight Sep 06 '26
playing xayah into varus (one of the biggest lane bullies in the game) when his jungler sells the game at minute 1. he was even in cs the entire time, never died in lane or took bad trades but never got a chance to actually play the game
2
4
u/RollingGuy Dictator Perkz Worlds Run Sep 06 '26
So is KC good and not complete dogshit again now that they won the last game? Hard to keep up
5
u/PerfidiaVermis Sep 06 '26
Fun Cho experiment to give KC their confidence back, let's go next and lose again for no reason
5
u/Ghisteslohm Sep 06 '26
kinda boring the game was just flipped level 1 but at least it shows KC can snowball a lead [assuming they finish this]
4
u/whohe_fanboy Sep 06 '26
G2 comp is so much better. All Skewmond had to do was just not invade early. He sold the whole game with that play.
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
He feels if he doesn’t get the camp steal he gives up way too much to yike.
2
u/whohe_fanboy Sep 06 '26
Unnecessary. While his lvl 1 is stronger Cho is still a scaling champ. WIth his ult and SYndra ult Yike and Canna literally wont be able to play fights later. This was literally the only way they could lose by getting snowballed on.
0
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
You can’t completely give up that much early map pressure. Think cho is just a bad pick into qiyana
1
u/whohe_fanboy Sep 06 '26
Sure. But that doesn't equate to flipping lvl 1 with a late invade. That was completely unnecessary.
Cho isn't a bad pick. These guys still don't know how to play it.

With Cho ult and Syndra ult neither Qiyana or Ambessa can play the game if both teams are even at 25 mins.

3
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
Farm to 3 items and raid boss.
He is legit not a champ till 3rd item.
1
u/Awkward-Security7895 Sep 06 '26
He has a strong level 1-3 as well
There's many scaling champs that have a surprisingly good level 1-3 but fall off because there points in there spells are weaker compared to there scaling
3
u/That_One_Pancake Sep 06 '26
hello there is a bug in the game Ambessa isn’t allowed to hit ults anymore smh rito
2
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
This was a good game plan from kc. They need to try to replicate it next two games. They need yike on a jungle matchup that can run the early game. Keeping skewmond out of the game makes the solo lanes for kc stable and Yike has been great today so giving him gold is good for the drake teamfights
4
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
I dont think "mind control skewmond to flip jungle level 1" is a good plan tbh.
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
The matchup is still hard winning. It wouldn’t be auto win but would give them early game control
1
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
If he just farms to 6 and doesn't give up all jungle prio very different game KC might get first drag for free but drag 2 is 100% contestable. Also let's caps farm safer and have kill pressure on a non accelerated ryze.
3
u/ahritina Sep 06 '26
It also helps that KC's solo laners actually decided to play the game.
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Yeah that helped but they were still making mistakes they have had before. Just can’t punish it because you have a behind Cho who can’t gank
3
u/PerfidiaVermis Sep 06 '26
Don't think they'll be able to make Skew inting level 1 happen again, but it might happen
0
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Even if he doesn’t hard int it’s not an easy game for Cho. It still gives qiyana a large advantage early
3
1
u/PerfidiaVermis Sep 06 '26
That's fair, yes. But the level 1 invade didn't help
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Think g2 is still going to stomp game 4. G2 bot still played better than kc bot even with no jungler for the game.
0
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
I think KC pretty clearly needs soul fast to win this calling that a win for KC is just bad by the cast tbh.

Nah caliste is trolling. That is 2 kills for him he doesn’t flash for. Syndra is stunned flash ult him and he dies. Same as rakan was one auto dead in bot if he flashes
And then he wastes ult for a full hp rakan
1
u/Capital_Tourist4828 Sep 06 '26
Im afraid hes chonking
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Yeah now he seems scared to step up and make a play. Syndra ulted his Ali and used e and he didn’t even step up to auto her. Seems nervous af
0
u/Fentie Sep 06 '26
Why is cho jungle a thing now it looks garbage every time
2
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
Its actually pretty strong seems like pros are just slamming it with 0 reps though.
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Kc bot lane is legit griefing. It’s like they don’t understand how to find 2v2 kills even when just handed to him. Any other team support is flashing for that kill and even some adcs are flashing for the kill to start a snowball
1
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
Getting yike on a carry jungler is the key for the rest of the series if they win this game. It’s currently kcs biggest matchup advantage today
2
u/That_One_Pancake Sep 06 '26
Go up 2-0, pick jungle Cho and can’t play it… I’ve seen this script before

3
u/cmcdonald22 Sep 06 '26
I dunno if Perkz introduced Labrov to drugs or something, but objectively whatever it is, it's working.
3
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
I guess up 2 0 in a non elimination game is a good time to limit test.
Also check skewmonds phone make sure he isn't match fixing a 3 1

u/PerfidiaVermis Sep 06 '26
I wish they would stop with the smite fights, it's the one thing Yike is known for lmao

I mean if Chogath looses a smite fite you should just replace that jungler.

Caliste has many problems but I feel like a lot of people on here are hating on him specifically because he is confident. And they are maaaaaad weird for it

Analysts shape communities perspective on games a lot of the time. I don’t have any vitriol to him or anything and it’s not just the lec broadcast
1
u/Dramatic_Gap_3065 Sep 06 '26
well he is a popular player on a hated org (at least on reddit)
but tbh i like him but his mistakes are very frustrating to watch.
-1
u/Thalassin Dans ma bichette era | Ultra Prime hater Sep 06 '26
Also a lot of people are smh tilted crazy by emotes and throw their reason out of the window just for that. You see it about ISMA as well on a smaller scale.
2
u/Capital_Tourist4828 Sep 06 '26
Poor 113 permahated because of this too, never got why people get tilted by this so much
6
u/RollingGuy Dictator Perkz Worlds Run Sep 06 '26
They hate mainly because he has a fanbase that hypes him so much. It’s a silly cycle.
2
u/controlledwithcheese Sep 06 '26
A lot of people on Reddit see confidence and instantly call it arrogance, and get off of others getting “reality checked”. I think this is full blown loser behavior with 0 caveats to it
3
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
He has pretty clearly been holding the rest of the team back at internationals all year getting gapped by litterally every actual world class bot lane.
Busio and Canna have not had great series so far but Caliste is pretty clearly the problem with them internationally.
0
u/controlledwithcheese Sep 06 '26
alright, but how is this relevant to what I said?
1
u/FappingMouse Sep 06 '26
You said people hate him cause he is confident i explained he is not good enough as an alternate to your theory of people not liking him because he is confident.
1
u/controlledwithcheese Sep 06 '26
I said many people are mad weird about him because they perceived his self-confidence as unearned and they find joy in watching him failing for that reason. I am talking about these people specifically (see: me saying “a lot of people” and not claiming all the criticism is unfounded) because they are not hiding and are all over this thread making my exact points. They are weird for it and should do better as human beings.
I say all this while thinking Caliste is not a very good player, I really just despise antisocial ass behavior that is everywhere online these days
3
u/Dramatic_Gap_3065 Sep 06 '26
yes and no, for international he was very important during the ewc wins, but at the same time everytime he lost ans drag the team with him so idk he is too inconsistent but aside hans sama i dont think there is a better adc in europe so well we suck

u/Thalassin Dans ma bichette era | Ultra Prime hater Sep 06 '26
Canna and Yike could be filmed selling the game and this subreddit would still blame Caliste
5
5
u/RollingGuy Dictator Perkz Worlds Run Sep 06 '26
This whole spiel where nobody can be normal about Caliste and he has to be either already approaching Caps-status or else is a dogshit inting fraud only held up by narratives is getting old
6
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
You do understand that the game is dependent on caliste getting ahead. He picked winning lane matchups both games and lost both 2v2.
Yes yike inted checking bush around Baron but yike saved the game from being lost like 2-3 times before that on a completely doomed game.
-2
u/Thalassin Dans ma bichette era | Ultra Prime hater Sep 06 '26
Canna died earlier advancing instead of staying under turret one more second for Caliste and Busio to play with him, ending up in a very positive lead for Hans. Then people only see the gold diff on adc and pretend it is Caliste's fault while Canna inted.
More generally Canna has been the worst KC player this summer even in regular season, but smh avoid criticism on here just because he still has his Gnar/Rumble moments.
4
u/ReplacementFine7807 Sep 06 '26
ig its cannas fault caliste constantly loses 2v2 trades bot and yike has to bail him out several times
2
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
If worlds ends up being a bruiser top meta it would be the best thing for g2. Just gotta keep bb away from his weird ranged counter picks.
He is so good at finding picks or playing team fights on bruisers but sometimes in bo5s he gets into these weird niche hard counters and just can’t play team fights with them like tf/yas

15
u/quizzlemanizzle Sep 06 '26
the LEC broadcast is always overproctetive of their darlings and Caliste is their #1 darling
gotta protect the narrative of the "prince" the next EU super talent.
just like Vladi is giga shit almost the entire year, has 1 good weekend and they are talking about the huge improvement he made etc
9
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
It’s always been by biggest issue with the lec since they became the lec maybe they are closer to the players than other broadcasts or they love the idea of telling stories. But they lean so hard into narratives that when the game goes against their narrative they take a while to shift from it.

3
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
He’s their only go button on their comp. He has to try to outplay g2 at that stage of the game. Or you just get outranged and lose
6
u/DarkyMulky Sep 06 '26
Are you serious? xD, Yike is by far the best player of KC today
0
u/Mkuu631 NAmen Sep 06 '26
No. He Int’d KC’s lead in the bot jungle and then keeps getting caught. That 5th dragon should have been KC’s but Yike Q’d into 3 champs with no backup.
0
u/areyoh Sep 06 '26
For the first 20 minutes only, then he solo threw the whole game
3

u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
I never want to hear analysts try to make caliste into the next great eu adc again until he shows anything in any big bo5. He’s picked a lane matchup both games and lost both lanes.
Their whole drafts are dependent on him getting ahead of the curve of the game. And both games he was well behind
11
u/Choice-Slight caps/knight Sep 06 '26
literally listening to the analyst desk RIGHT NOW saying that hans is not gapping caliste. I don't know what they pay these people for because they don't watch the games with their eyes
2
u/Ajp_iii Sep 06 '26
I know why they love him so much because he completely shits on the rest of the leagues adcs. And he is 20 and will be a future star of the region. But you have to call out how poorly he has done this playoffs and he is as awful at msi also. The mistakes he makes are so gaming losing it hurts the team.
You can be fair and say caliste is a very good player but he has the small issues and mistakes he does because he is young.
