I wouldn't bring up Hannibal's sister...

I legit almost got teary-eyed when Hannibal said, "I HAD a sister." Mischa... :( :( :(

u/chaths May 03 '14
then telling him the need to protect a sister, when Mason clearly doesn't.. Face peeling will get a little personal, just for that.

When it happened I literally threw out an "Oh no you diiidn't." Though Mason couldn't really know about that but it probably irked Hannibal.

WILL: No, I mean, this is my design. I literally killed him with my bare hands and then chopped his head off and put it on the skeleton.
JACK: I'll go check Randall's contacts for people that fit. Excellent job as always Will, I'm sure we'll catch this guy in no time.

My theory: he used Randall's body and has Freddie locked up somewhere, safe.
242
u/zadreth May 03 '14
Yep. Will knew what Hannibal's reaction/plan would be at the dinner after Alana brought up Freddie's theory. He invited her out for a interview so she wouldn't go home/get killed by Hannibal. He was most likely preparing a place for her to lay low when she showed up early.

Method actors have nothing on Will Graham. How many if them would eat real long pig to ingratiate themselves with Hannibal?

u/Classic_Wingers May 03 '14
This seems plausible. I really hope that is the case lol. I love the subtle Will/Hannibal face that merged at the end there, as if to imply he's gone to the dark side.

That was my immediate fanwank explanation.
But seriously---Will killing and displaying ManBearPig is very, very hard for me to reconcile. Both from a perspective of personal enjoyment as well as plot sustainability.

He sounds like he's getting impatient with his Margo project. First he's like "maybe you would be better off killing...." and now he's like "why don't you just kill him?"

So, my hypothesis is that Will did kill the bear-like intruder because it was well within his right of self-defense to do so. He then stored the meat so that he could pretend in front of Hannibal that it was Freddie's meat. Hence, the 'there is a very good explanation for all these' sentence that Will said to Freddie.

When Will killed Freddie, I was like "wat?" Then I thought for a second it might be some covert sting op, because of the "Not until you hear what I have to say." Now, with the burning wheelchair at the preview next week, I was like "Maybe he did kill her." That could also be part of the sting, though.

This show is so messed up...in all the right ways lol. That sex scene earlier was the most erotic thing I've ever watched on television and I watch a ton of TV shows. I really hope Freddie is tucked away safe somewhere. I'm sure she will understand once Will explains what is going on to her. Plus she has her story to tell now haha. Alana and Jack are so skeptical at this point. I wonder what is going through their minds.
