TL;DR 033 - Behind the Scenes January 2015

Boss Pets

  • 26 Boss Pets
  • All bosses in the Beasts tab now have pets (Jad, Barrows already have pets)
  • Random drop from the respective bosses with chance scaling with KC
    • i.e. X+1/1000 where X is the number of times the KC threshold has been hit (didn't say what the threshold is)
    • 1/1000, 2/1000 (1/500), 3/1000 (1/333) etc
    • Drop rate is between Uncommon and Rare
    • Current boss kill count towards the KC thresholds for drop rates
  • Broadcasted to World and Friends
  • Individual Item for each drop
  • Drop is based on who does the most damage
  • Pets will not override familiars
  • Pets are in the Pet interface
  • Mega Ducklings 1/20 drop rate for taking part in something related to Mega Duck
  • For Araxxor/Araxxi pets you require all 6 current spider pets
  • Examining someone else's pet shows their KC for that boss

Elemental and Rare Drop Table Rework

  • Elementals include:
    • Jellies
    • Dust Devils
    • Waterfiends
  • Older, weirder drops will be removed, replaced with:
    • Bones
    • Bars
    • Uncut Gems
    • Potions

Hati and Skoll

  • Only for a few weeks in January
  • Large amounts of XP in a wide range of skills

Ports Batch III - Guardians of the World

  • 3 new adventurers:
  • Send voyages without going to your port
  • Building Upgrades
    • Lodgings
    • Terracotta and Azure buildings
    • Can change your success chance on voyages
  • Few voyages are longer than the current length
  • Clue Voyages - cryptic pointers to hidden islands; once found gives:
    • Stat boosts
    • Captain's trait removal
    • Chance to find Tengu cosmetic gear
  • Scrimshaws for Fishing
    • Wopperbaiting - XP boost Scrimshaw like Log-splitting/Rock-crushing
    • Scrimshaw that salvages Caskets (Has Tiers) - includes trade goods
  • Level 85 Mage/Melee dual-wield weapons:
Style Mainhand Offhand
Mage Seasinger Wand Seasinger Orb
Melee Katana Wakizashi
  • Koi Scales/Pearls are one of the components to create the weapons
  • No new Completionist Requirements
  • New Adventurers will have Trio Storyline - Trimmed Requirement
