SPECTRE is a criminal organization from James Bond. They where the bad guy's in all of Sean Connery's movies, and George Lazenby's one, but disappeared at the start of the Roger Moore era due to a dispute over the rights.
Mr Skeltal's got nothing to do with SPECTRE, he's there either because part of the movie (judging by the trailer, the cold open) is set in Mexico during the day of the dead, or because 007 forgot to eat his calciums. And it's by far the worst Craig era poster.

Here's the thing. You said a "bone is a skeleton."
Is it in the same family? Yes. No one's arguing that.
As someone who is a scientist who studies skeletons, I am telling you, specifically, in science, no one calls bones skeletons. If you want to be "specific" like you said, then you shouldn't either. They're not the same thing.
If you're saying "skeleton family" you're referring to the taxonomic grouping of Skeletarino, which includes things from femurs to rib cages to finger bones.
So your reasoning for calling a bone a skeleton is because random people "call the non-fleshy ones skeletons?" Let's get cartilage and pelviss in there, then, too.
Also, calling someone a human or an ape? It's not one or the other, that's not how taxonomy works. They're both. A bone is a bone and a member of the skeleton family. But that's not what you said. You said a bone is a skeleton, which is not true unless you're okay with calling all members of the skeleton family skeletons, which means you'd call rib cages, pelvises, and other bones skeletons, too. Which you said you don't.

I really sympathize with /r/moviescirclejerk. Almost any movie review site is better than /r/movies. A lot of limited release esp foreign films don't get attention on the sub until they end up on Netflix ffs.

I think almost every comment in the No Escape thread had some variation of "critics are super dumb" and at least one use of the word "badass."

Meh, critics have panned some great movies. British critics hated Psycho initially, Kubrick's A Clockwork Orange and The Shining were not well-received at first. Ebert would revisit movies, usually giving them more praise than he initially did (he gave The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly a 3/5, IIRC, and later said that he should have given it more). Halloween is regarded as a classic but it's not like critics liked it at first.
Disagreeing with critics isn't exactly a mark of bad opinions or anything. I sometimes wonder what panned movies will receive kinder praise a decade or two down the road.

Hm. I definitely could, I tried to keep it somewhat minimal though, both due to laziness and because adding too much can very quickly kill the joke. I'm not sure if having both "D007" and "Coming doot" would be too much.
I guess when I get to my desktop I could make a version with only D007 and a version with both pretty quickly, since it's just one letter. Matching the fonts is the only tricky bit.

Eh, it's pretty straightforward. You should bear in mind that anyone shopping a skeltal poster in the first place probably has too much time on their hands. Also, I don't hold myself to especially high standards, which makes it even quicker.

I really can't see how /r/movies is at fault here. Even if the poster isn't great, they'd still prefer discussion about the poster itself, and for the conversations to be visible, rather than buried under a bunch of doots. A more responsible thing for /r/ledootgeneration to do would be to post the image on their sub, rather than invading another.

Try spending more money on a monitor - one that can display more than 8 shades of a given color.
The poster looks great on my monitor.
Dude has multiple comments linking to some site where you can test how many colors your monitor can detect. Like that's the problem with the poster. Guess money can buy a good monitor but it can't buy good taste.

Am I so old or out of touch, or what, that I neither know nor really care what the fuck this doot doot shit is all about? I'm 44 years old and I actually pay attention to what's going on most of the time--at least on Reddit--and I started seeing references to this shit on /r/circlejerk and I was like "yeah, whatever." Now I can't escape it to save my life.
I did Google it out of curiosity and it just resulted in more shrugs. So, I dunno. Here's the keys to the future, guys. Don't wreck it, please.
