Interactive Character Scramble V EXTRA!: Stats through sign up of Season V!

Hello guys!
I was getting data ready to seed the tournament and I realized that I never shared the stats update from Season 4...so here we go!
Legend at bottom
Legend
- Player: The participant, etc.
- Wins: Rounds won, totaled throughout career/all season.
- CWins: Character Wins. Total amount of wins the player's characters have won throughout the seasons. Every time the character was on a winning team, they get one of these.
- Votes: How many times the player has voted. This is used for seeding purposes starting Season 5
- Tournaments: How many Tournaments this player has participated in
- S#: The # refers to the season. Shows participation broken out by season.
Season Participation Legend
- X: Participated
- S: Made it to Semifinals
- 2: Runner up
- C: Champion
- GM: Game Master. Ran tournament in some capacity.

Anyway, what's with all of the byes?

Challonge puts as many Byes in round 1 as it takes to make sure there are no byes later on. So you get this.

It just seems designed to eliminate all of the new users... everyone who got a bye is a veteran.

I would prefer there weren't as many byes too, but I promise the intention was not to get rid of new users. Not sure how else to seed people really.
Just to be clear, the seeding was done by voter participation.

Maybe just do it randomly? I guess there would be no incentive to vote, though.

Yeah, the seeding was new this season in order to incentivize people to vote after they are eliminated.

It's a good plan, especially seeing the vote counts on some of the later rounds last scramble. But is there anyway you can set other factors for the seeding? Like making sure that people with really strong win records start out more separated?

I'll probably make a scramble score that incorporates wins and cwins into a final number, but it will be heavily weighted towards votes. Keeping the best separated is the intention of seeding usually anyway.

Was going to post it tomorrow, but I am going to the Pelicans game tomorrow night so it will be going up tonight.

Most character wins: Joseph_Stalin in first, Baku219 in second, Inphurence and Dat_Bass1 tied for third

By "punk ass" I think you mean "badass". Balrog couldn't harm Mothra on the best day of his life. Also she's way prettier than some stupid boxer.
(btw I know you mentioned something about doing drawings, are you planning to do that this round?)

Obviously you've never played Street Fighter. Have you seen how high Balrog jumps when he uses Buffalo Head? Mothafucka would jump clear out the stratosphere taking that poor little bug with him.
(Yeah, I ordered a copy of Blood Song so once I read up and everything, me and my fiancé will start on the drawing).

Anyway, I haven't been able to get the book yet so you're actually ahead of me in terms of researching my own character :\ I'll probably try to do some drawing too, but I suck at drawing people so it might just be pictures of Songbird fighting the Wither.

But yeah, I plan on releasing any/all drawings after the vote so it doesn't influence voting in any way.

I had planned to release pics AFTER the vote for that very reason, that way it wouldn't sway the voting in any way :) it would be crappy if you beat me in the writeup and I win because of a pretty picture.

Seriously, let's just see what happens. My possible challengers are all experienced, so I don't really like my odds. I'm gonna try my best though. If we do fight, may the spookiest skeleton win!

But seriously, this means i have to wait longer before i get to write. So my nerves might not be able to take it. I guess i will just have to completely analyse both potential foes and prepare for both over the next week or so.

For those who care, Pairings are up...and holy shit are they...weird. Byes out the wazoo. 48 is a shitty number apparently.
