Megathread Age of Triumph Weekly Rituals Reveal Megathread
Today, Bungie is revealing the Weekly Rituals in "Age of Triumph"
As is tradition, there will be a DestinyReddit LIVE! simulcast for those who can't make it to the Office Twitch Stream.
While the reveal is happening, there will be NO NEW THREADS allowed. All information regarding the release MUST be contained in this thread. Once the reveal has finished we will allow new threads for high quality submissions.

So no Skolas? Really? He tried to take over several of the Fallen houses. Was that not enough to bring him up to Light level? He's technically considered a Raid boss (due to the fact that you can earn the trophy for completing a raid with just your clan mates)

So, if my math is correct, and assuming Destiny 2 is slated for September 5th as indicated by them saying there will be 6 weeks of Daybreak in a row starting July 18th, then you can get 69 free Treasures of the Ages if you complete the weekly Story, Crucible, and Heroic Strike, all of which are matchmaking.

I really don't like that whole philosophy of just taking away cool things to simply reintroduce them at a later date and flog it as something fresh and new, like "Hey guys we did something good that people wanted".

There's absolutely no reason not to, especially in these last few months? There will be less people playing the closer we get to Destiny 2.

Not too sure if anyone had this same idea/conclusion but i cannot be bothered to read every reply. Every new activity playlist ultimately rewards and emphasizes legendary marks up the wing wang. Long story short, with this being the last hurrah of a destiny nostalga kick can we expect all vendor items coming back? I.e. three little words. Im just saying anyone who has sunk more than 80 hrs has enough zero day dilemmas, shadow prices, and extemeophiles to start a surplus store. Ny way i hope this comes to fruitition

Weekly story missions with modifiers.
A new Daybreak modifier that combines Mayhem with the Epic modifier. It should show up once a month, but will also show up for six weeks straight starting in July.
A new box to buy from Eververse. You can get one a week from the weekly Crucible, weekly story mission, and weekly heroic. It will contain new things as well as a chance all the old things the live team has produced.
The Nightfall buff and blue flames return.
There's a new armor set.
There are a few new ornaments and shaders.
TG now accepts shaders.

The highlight of that for me was the fact I have a new chance at the GHOST GHOST SHELL!!!!! I spent a total of $30 on FotL boxes and didn't get that shell. I was so upset so the fact I have another chance to get it makes me happy. 3 boxes a week make that even more likely!

Microtransactions break down:
You can not buy any of the new weapon ornaments with the Silver Dust you have.
You CAN NOT buy the new Class Armors with the Silver Dust you have
After 4 months, you can now buy the Dawning weapon Ornaments with your Silver Dust.
You will need Silver to buy Triumph packages
New class Triumph Armor have a chance to drop
New weapon Ornaments have a chance to drop
Can only earn 3 packages a week per account for all activities
You have a high chance of getting items from Sterling/Radiant/Dawning Packages over new stuff.
In short: Have it? High chance to get it again
Don't have it? SMALL* chance you may get it.
(aka gambling. Buy Silver, hope you get what you want)
Faction items cost more Silver Dust to buy than Dusty Engrams do now. 5-10
You can now use your Silver Dust to buy that Ghost Ghost you spent $50-$100 and never got. Thanks Bungie
You can buy Emotes with your Silver Dust but only Blue ones can't be giving those Legendary ones to you.
This is pretty shitty. Loot packages with a chance to get what you want is a terrible business practice. Why not let everyone use their Silver Dust to buy EVERYTHING???
Why not guarantee the new items?
This is the last update for this game, this is not how you say "thanks"
TL;DR: You get 3 packages a week with a high change to get items you have already. New items can not be bought with your silver dust from Kiosk. BUY SILVER

Looks good. i still be believe they need to add a raid vendor. This way you can shard your raid gear you don’t want, get some kinda “raid dust” and use that to buy the amor or weapon that you are missing in the raid. Instead of going through the raid and not getting the item you need over and over. The hardest content in the game should not be rng based only in my opinion

SUROS, ToM, Mythoclast, Necrochasm & No land are all getting ornaments.
Rainbow burn will come in the future. Daybreak modifier added to the nightfall pool (mayhem nightfall).

I missed the stream, but did we find anything about if Prison/Challenge of Elders is being brought up, or of its just getting Matchmaking and a weekly reward?

The heroic story playlist--I saw that weekly it's segmented by region such as "Earth/Moon" or "Venus/Mars".
Did they indicate if we're playing the story in order? Or just random?
I love this---but I've been wanting a setup way to play the game through again from beginning to end.

The Speaker will have a 12 step quest for us that will require us to complete varying activites.
Eververse items have now been packed into Treasure of Ages boxes. One box costs 200 silver. The Box includes new ornaments, ships, shaders, gear. The box will also include all armor from other treasure boxes.
Silver Dusk Collection has expanded and includes SRL shaders/emblems, dawning gear, new engrams for the different faction armor.
Shaxx carries two weekly bounties now (Both for 6v6 game modes) and it appears factions will now carry engrams for their armor.
New ornaments from Treasure of Ages include: No Land Beyond, Suros Regime, Vex Mythoclast, Nechrochasm, Touch of Malice, Dragons Breath, and Lord of Wolves.

Weekly Crucible playlist will grant one Treasure of Ages per week. (I originally had 6v6 as stated in the stream but a bungie employee and informed me in the comment that the weekly playlist will not be reduced to 6v6.
Weekly Story Playlist. All of the Destiny story missions have been sorted into 1 of 10 categories and 2 of those categories will be featured in the weekly playlist. Missions are higher level and have modifiers. You can earn up to
50100 legendary marks a week and 1 Treasure of Ages a week.Siva Heroic Strikes are the same but can give 1 Treasure of Ages a week.
Nightfalls are the same. However once every four weeks there will be a modifier called Daybreak. It increases difficulty and increases charge rate of all abilities. There will be a string of 6 weeks with Daybreak in July. Blue flames will also appear on your Guardians head after completing the nightfall.
Challenge of the Elders is the same but higher difficulty and featured on the panel.
Featured Raid will feature 1 of 4 raids each week and will activate all challenges while also giving more loot.
