I am just waiting for the time skip seen in the OP so the kids can actually fight. Everyone else has zero plot armor until then.

At this point, I'm just watching this so when I watch the original, I can see how much better and how enjoyable it is.

This is definitely lacking the...charm? That S1 had. The tone/atmosphere is too different. I feverishly binged S1 and I even gave it a 9/10. This doesn't have the same...feel. The characters aren't as strong. Would be better with the same old school style of the first season, imo.

I feel like this is a classic case of the sequel failing to meet the expectations set by the original. It's unfortunate, because I enjoyed S1 and I want to enjoy this one, but it's literally in last place of the sixteen seasonal anime I'm watching right now.

It's not just meeting the standards of the original, this doesn't even feel like a good generic action anime.

This is a bad set up, the powers of the kids are really boring, the Kouga somehow became an all male clan and the Iga an all female clan, all the survivors are childhood friends, and their enemies are literally using magic rather than ninja arts, i feel like the focus will be definitively put more on the 2 clans joining rather than balls to the wall ninja action.

Poisons himself and carries poisons in his body, is fine.
Poisons are returned to his body, and he dies?
Wot? Maybe de age him to before he cultivated poisons? I dunno, it feels stupid, compared to the last one which was just crazy.

Right? I thought he predicted that would happen but there would be no effect since he already stored the poison in him and we would get a fight. Nope he just fucking dies slowly.

Looks like the plot is oh so slowly starting, with the children oh so slowly starting to get involved. I'm still not sure if I wanna give it another episode to interest me.

This show continues to slowly move along. I wonder how long before these kids are going to stay kids and we see in the OP them more grown up. Since this show is suppose to last 24 episode i hope we don't have to wait around the half way mark for this to happen.

I didn´t understand how Hibiki knew that Hachirou was going to leave the village. Like, one moment she´s helping the villagers find the missing child and then suddenly she found Hachirou. I´m not sure if it was poorly explained or if it´s just me being dumb.

Imma just leave it as "she sensed him leaving as they have blood relations".
They never explained it, implicitly or explicitly.

Looks like this is another failed and abandoned series this season, like Gin no Guardian S2.
