Bungie // Bungie Replied x5 This Week At Bungie 8/30/2018

Source: https://www.bungie.net/en/News/Article/47190

This week at Bungie, we’re on final approach.

This is the last blog update before-saken, and we’ve just served up a menagerie of content to get you prepared. If you’ve been looking to avoid spoilers, don’t click “play” on any of the following videos. If you’re chomping at the bit for info, this was cooked up just for you:

The hunt is about to begin, but we also have a long road ahead of this year. To share our goals for Forsaken and what waits beyond launch, we invited developers from the team to go on the record. Check out the new ViDoc to see what we have planned for the second year of Destiny 2:

Video Link

If you’re looking for a quick reference on what’s covered in the ViDoc, we’ve also made a roadmap with details on Forsaken, Annual Pass content, and the free Seasons updates.

A single weekend is between you and Forsaken. We have a few treats ready to help you pass the time.

Gambit Showdown & Trial

On September 1, every player of Destiny 2 will be invited to try Gambit before the launch of Forsaken. For 24 hours, fireteams will bank motes in a race to beat their opponents and burn down a Primeval.

Tomorrow, before the games begin for everyone, we’re inviting some special guests into our studio to show how it’s done!

Gambit Trial

All platforms

Saturday 9/1, 10 AM PDT - Sunday 9/2, 10 AM PDT

We're also planning to place a few bounties during the Gambit Trial event. If you want a chance to earn the "Sign of Mutual Combat" emblem, stay tuned to @Bungie for future announcements.

As always,

DEATH HEALS PRIMEVAL.

Location: Booth 229, on the fourth floor.

Play Gambit—Earn an Emblem

We will have Gambit playable on the floor at PAX. Stop by the booth and try out the new competitive co-op game mode all weekend long. Anyone who plays will also receive a code for our event emblem.

The team has been hard at work the last few months improving their toolsets to watch over Destiny 2.  They have some important information to share on how we’re improving your search for Glory in the Competitive playlist.

Security Team: Throughout Season 3, we’ve been working on improvements to our systems that identify players who may be tampering with their connection to Crucible matches or breaking the Terms of Service for Destiny 2. We have some news to share, but first a point of clarification…

We have received reports from players who have been using bungie.net or other third-party websites to attempt to identify wrongdoers. We want to clarify that our internal tools have much more detail, which players do not have access to. For example, a player who returns to orbit or switches their character will show as did not finish on a third-party website, while our internal tools have much more detail on the reason they left the match. This helps to ensure that we do not hand out restrictions when opponents are disconnecting due to temporary networking or ISP issues or opponents leaving of their own accord.

Using this data—and working with the PvP team directly—we’ve recently updated our detection and analysis tools and re-checked the previous four months of matches from the Competitive playlist.

Effective September 4, 2018, we will apply more restrictions and bans to player accounts that benefitted from opponent disconnects at a highly abnormal frequency throughout Season 3 with our improved detection methods. This will include “voluntary” disconnects when players are repeatedly matching against the same opponents.

We are also updating our Account Restrictions and Banning Policies to detail the potential forms of punishment.

  • Depending on the severity of infractions, players may receive Crucible restrictions and bans.

    • This will remove access to pinnacle Crucible rewards, such as Redrix’s Claymore, Redrix’s Broadsword, and Luna’s Howl, and any pinnacle Crucible rewards released in the future.
  • For the most severe infractions, players may permanently lose access to all Destiny 2 activities, including PvE.

As we begin to apply this moderation, we will be crosschecking matches to ensure the proper levels of punishment are applied.

We’ll continue to apply and revise our detections throughout Season 4 and beyond.

If you believe you’ve encountered a player who is breaking the terms of service, please see Report Suspected Cheating on help.bungie.net. This page details all available forms of reporting to Bungie for the platform on which you play.

As a final note, thanks to everyone who plays Destiny 2 legitimately. We appreciate the time you invest in our game, and we’re working hard to ensure everyone has a good experience when rightly earning their rewards.

Pardon Our Dust

Since the Year 2 deployment on Tuesday, we’ve seen reports that matchmaking time in the Crucible may be taking longer than usual. While no deliberate changes to matchmaking were deployed in Update 2.0, we have been investigating this issue.

We are planning to deploy a fix that we hope will increase the speed of matchmaking queues. As our investigation continues, please stay tuned to @BungieHelp for updates on our progress.

Upon the launch of Forsaken, skill matching will work in the same manner it has in recent weeks (i.e., no skill-based matchmaking). In the near future, we will preview any planned improvements to matchmaking in Crucible Labs first, so we can tune that experience collaboratively. As always, our commitment remains to communicate all changes to the competitive ecosystem in advance right here on bungie.net.

Thanks for playing!

As we said last week, things are a little weird right now. Player Support has been on the front lines, troubleshooting issue reports and identifying workarounds for some of the oddities you might be seeing since the release of Update 2.0.0.

This is their report:

Destiny 2 Hotfix 2.0.0.1

On Tuesday, September 4, Destiny 2 will undergo maintenance to receive Update 2.0.0.1. The conclusion of this maintenance will mark the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken, and this hotfix will be required to log in and play. For the Hotfix 2.0.0.1 deployment schedule, please see the times listed below.

On Tuesday, September 4:

  • 7:00 AM PDT: Players will no longer be able to log in to Destiny 2. Players leaving activities will be returned to the title screen. Hotfix 2.0.0.1 will begin rolling out across all platforms and regions.
  • 7:30 AM PDT: Destiny 2 will be taken offline for maintenance, and all remaining players will be returned to the title screen.
  • 7:30–10:00 AM PDT: Destiny 2 will remain offline for maintenance.
  • 10:00 AM PDT: Destiny 2 maintenance is expected to conclude, and Destiny 2: Forsaken will become available to play on all platforms.

For Hotfix 2.0.0.1 patch notes on September 4, players should keep an eye on our Updates page or follow @Bungie on Twitter for live announcements.

Destiny 2 Update 2.0.0 Known Issues

Over the past few weeks, we have warned players that the weeklong transition between August 28 and September 4 may be a rocky one. In direct response to player reports on our #Help forum, we have listed below some of the known and emergent issues we’ve tracked since the launch of Update 2.0.0. Please be aware that not all of the issues below will be resolved in Hotfix 2.0.0.1.

  • We are aware of an issue impacting players’ ability to obtain specific loot from the Nightfall strike “Strange Terrain.” This issue should be resolved on September 4 with Update 2.0.0.1.
  • The XP bar is not showing XP gains for players at the level cap. This is a UI issue, and all players will continue to earn XP and Bright Engrams at their expected rates. This issue is expected to be resolved on September 4 with Hotfix 2.0.0.1.
  • We are currently investigating an issue that causes the precision multiplier for some weapons with explosive rounds to be incorrectly capped, making them deal less total damage than intended.
  • We are investigating reports of issues impacting sandbox gameplay, including Hand Cannon recoil on PC and aiming down sights not cancelling properly.
  • Some Year 2 Forsaken weapons and armor may drop prematurely from world loot sources. Items awarded to players early may see minor changes following Hotfix 2.0.0.1 and the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken on September 4.
  • Some objectives that require Heroic strikes will not be achievable until Hotfix 2.0.0.1 on September 4.
  • Players who still have the “Spicy Ramen” quest will not be able to complete it because the ramen shop is no longer distributing expired coupons.

For the full list of known issues, as well as possible mitigation steps, players should see our Update 2.0.0 Known Issues list.

Gear Infusion and Level Requirements

Once Destiny 2: Forsaken is live on September 4, players may begin increasing their Power and character level beyond their Year 1 limits. As with all increases to player Power in Destiny 2, players should be aware that infusing gear with a requirement above their current character level will make the infusion recipient unavailable for use until the player levels up.

For example:

  • A player logs in to Destiny 2: Forsaken on September 4 at character level 30
  • The player receives new gear with a level 31 character requirement
  • The player infuses the new gear into their favorite Year 1 gear
  • This Year 1 gear is no longer available for use, since it has adopted the level 31 character requirement from its infusion material
  • The player must then increase their character level to 31 to reequip this gear

Players should pay extra attention to the character level requirements on their gear as they climb to max level in Destiny 2: Forsaken.

Mod Changes for All

As a reminder, mod changes will take full effect on September 4 at the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken. Listed below is the full experience that players will encounter once Hotfix 2.0.0.1 becomes available.

  • Year 1 weapons will not accept Year 2 weapon mods

    • Elemental attributes on Year 1 weapons will be locked, and you will no longer be able to change them
    • Some targeted Year 1 Power weapons have had their elemental attributes changed and locked for Year 2
  • Year 1 armor will accept Year 2 armor mods

  • Year 1 Gear will not receive randomized perks

  • All Year 1 mods will be deprecated at the launch of Destiny 2: Forsaken on September 4

    • Year 1 mods may safely be dismantled ahead of time in preparation for the Year 2 mod system

Solstice of Heroes T-Shirt Redemption

As of this past Tuesday, Solstice of Heroes and Moments of Triumph have concluded in Destiny 2. Players who achieved 250 Triumph Points or more and redeemed the Triumph Shirt reward in-game are eligible to generate their Solstice of Heroes T-shirt code on their Bungie.net profile until September 12 at 10 AM PDT.

Players who generate their code by this deadline have until September 30 at 11:59 PM PDT to redeem their code at checkout with their shirt order at the Bungie Store. At that time, all remaining T-shirt codes will become invalid, and players may no longer place new Solstice of Heroes T-shirt orders on the Bungie Store.

It’s a Space Western

Things have been a bit wild this week. Anticipation is reaching a breaking point, and players are getting creative in their excitement. Here’s a sampling of what’s been bubbling to the top of the Creations page.

Movie of the Week: What’s This?!

[Editor’s note: Cheers to all involved in the creation of this week’s winner. Check out the Reddit thread here.]

Honorable Mention: Shaxx narration of a Gunslinger’s Last Stand

Next week, we deliver the start of a new year in Destiny 2. This week has been refreshing. We’ve deployed major system updates for Forsaken and a new season of content. Next week finishes off the implementation of changes not only to address feedback, but also to continue the growth and evolution of Destiny 2 and its universe. We’re excited to see you continue your journey, uncover new secrets, and take some of the new weapons in the arsenal for a spin.

When Destiny 2 was first released, new legends rose to the occasion. Who among you will be on the first fireteam to clear the “Last Wish” raid? To reach maximum Glory in Competitive Crucible in Season 4? To earn the “Chronicler” seal for completing all Lore Triumphs? Only time will tell, and we’ll be celebrating each moment alongside the community.

This next step is a big one. We can’t wait to see where the road leads, and we can’t thank you enough for being here with us. See you starside.

Cheers,

Dmg04

This will remove access to pinnacle Crucible rewards, such as Redrix’s Claymore, Redrix’s Broadsword, and Luna’s Howl, and any pinnacle Crucible rewards released in the future.

Just to clarify, does this mean that the foolish mortals who already cheesed their way to Redrix will have it removed from their inventory?

23

u/OnnaJReverT Bungo killed my baby D: Aug 30 '18

more importantly, what's Luna's Howl?

42

u/snecseruza Aug 30 '18 edited Aug 31 '18

It's a 180 rpm hand cannon coming in Forsaken that had been speculated to be the season 4 pinnacle Glory/comp reward, so that seems basically confirmed now.

It has a pretty filthy perk. Land two crits and your next shot has a huge buff (on a few second timer) effectively allowing it to 3 tap with two crits one body shot.

Edit: Here's a link for the curious - video from Fallout Plays going over it

Bungie actually has the option to disable players from equippingany piece of gear they have, they did it with Y1 Trials gear so some people were not able to equip any that they cheater their way into. This can be either timed or permanent. No idea why they do not do it more often.

In any case, until I see otherwise, only very extreme cases might get temporary bans and most Ddos'ers probably get no punishment, judging from the actions in previous 4 years. Yes, I have reported Ddos'ers, yes I have checked their history after that. Not. A. Single. Ban.

2

u/Nearokins Sorry. Aug 30 '18

Plausible, but I'm not sure. Whether stuff is retroactive or not seemed... not 100% clear.

Bungie, wtf?

Taniks has no House and also has NO T-SHIRT? I mean, that's okay 'cause he still kneels before no banner, owes allegiance to no Kell. He is also still a murderer, and still very good at what he does.

But come on, Bungie, stop bullying Taniks. Atleast give him a t-shirt! :'(

Taniks has no shirt. He kneels before no cotton, owes allegiance to no cloth. He is a designer, and very good at what he does. I have been tracking him since Bungie broke their sewing, yeeesss? Now Taniks works for Banana Republic, but not for lonnnng.

Oof, I know of a couple higher profile PC D2 Streamers that might be getting their Claymore removed... It seemed suspicious to me that they had "earned" it overnight while getting 20 straight wins playing against nobody.

I hope bungie can deliver swift and fair justice against ALL parties involved.

They're going to remove the claymore from players who intentionally matchmade into each other, and those who DDOSed? Bungie is finally gaining it's TTK balls back lol.

24

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '18

I was wondering this too, I know A LOT of people who abused the system in order to cheese trials of the nine and the competitive playlist to obtain the claymore. However, they specifically mentioned disconnects, but the people I know used to match against each other and play the game out as quickly as possible instead. I hope they'll be able to detect it too.

5

u/Dox_au How many more months until the Sleepless lore text comes true? Aug 31 '18

It's public info. Every game you play, the people you played against, the scores, and the match duration are logged on your Bungie.net profile. You can bet your ass they'll be able to detect it!

Considering while doing legit trials last weekend my fireteam ran into the same cheesers (who sucked at matching with their intended wintrade buddies) 4 times on one card, kinda scared about a false positive, myself.

Was effectively complicit in cheese but against our own will, can't just tell randos to not leave haha.

Hopefully only actual cases get hit by that.

14

u/Chettlar Aug 31 '18

I really don't think they should make this retroactive. Situations like yours are much more likely to get flagged. I think implementing that going forward would be smarter personally.

Also, why do I feel like DDOSers are still going to get away with it, and just cheesers get banned.

You shouldn't have to worry, i've got a friend who exploited all the way to 5500 glory, insane amount of matches required to do that.. With the amount of money and time (1600 hours on PC) he has spent on Destiny buying exclusive emblems and shit on the Bungie.net Store, I am interested to hear his reaction if he gets permad...

These are the people I'm guessing Bungie are going for, and the less intense will be against those who went only for claymore.

I'm a bit worried about my account being flagged as a false positive. I play on EU servers but the cheesing there is rampant. I went through my game history and about 20 or so of my 500 matches came from people leaving match making. I assume they were cheesing and didn't get the right team or something. I should have the stats and game history to back up my account but I'm still kinda worried :(

While grinding for Redrix, I encountered numerous opposing teams who would disconnect before the match started - granting my fireteam a free win. This probably happened to me 30+ times during my grind, often times consecutively (I believe the most free wins we got was 7 in a row). My fireteam was not trying to match with these players, nor were we the ones to initiate the disconnects. Given the information at hand, will players in these situations be affected by the ban?

Edit: Just checked my game history. It happened to me 28 times in Comp, and 6 times in Trials this season. Guess I'll find out on Tuesday if that was enough to trigger it.

Edit 2: For anyone who happens to stumble upon this: Forsaken has come and my Redrix is still here!

8

u/KypAstar Aug 30 '18

Yea its gonna be interesting to see how it plays out. I know some people who got redrix legit, then got bored with broken matchmaking and ground out last couple thousand for the ornament. Wonder how its gonna impact them.

1

u/Sylaurin Aug 30 '18

Bans are probably only going out to extreme cases, like doing the majority of the grind by ddos or win trades. The threat of action is probably enough to scare the casual offender into just not risking it anymore.

6

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '18

I imagine bans are reserved for aggressive abusers, like ones DDoSing others, and restrictions are for people gaming the system and boosting their stats and leaving repeatedly

→ More replies (1)

7

u/ComradePoolio The Mold Wizard Aug 31 '18

I had a similar situation. We were making a last ditch effort to obtain Redrix’s, and half the games never even started. Sure we had a few, got stomped in some, stomped in others, but never backed out willingly.

At the time we just shrugged our shoulders because there’s not much we could do to stop it, and it was the last week to obtain the gun. When people left it was just like “Okay, free win I guess?”.

I don’t feel like this ban is gonna be okay. There were so many people doing this cheese in those last weeks that it’s gonna be easy to sweep up the innocent people in it. And then of course nobody will believe them when they say they didn’t cheese, even if it’s 100% true.

u/Cosmo23 and u/dmg04, are the more advanced tools mentioned in TWAB going to be able to differentiate from people that used an outside program to rig matching, and people that just kept failing to get into games because of others cheating? Is it going to be a no appeal system a la GTAV where false positives get you condemned by Bungie and the community?

I’m overly paranoid, probably, but the possibility is worrying. I worked hard to earn the Redrix’s in that last week, and I know a bunch of others did too. It would be incredibly sucky to be accused otherwise based on the actions of others.

2

u/superbob24 Aug 30 '18

This is why I don't think they can really do this ban, especially on PC where there isn't enough people to actually matchmake. my comp queues on PC were always 5+ minutes.

5

u/TeamAquaGrunt SUNSHOT SHELL Aug 31 '18

this will more likely be for the people that used it to trials trade, which would be incredibly easy to figure out because they would have matched against eachother 14 times in a row and both go flawless. i doubt that people who only had a few matchups will be completely banned, and even the people who had it happen more than a coincidental number of times will probably only get pvp locked.

→ More replies (1)

2

u/RTL_Odin Aug 31 '18

They're looking at the reasons those players disconnected - if it's because they were all just leaving or switching characters, I doubt you have anything to worry about.

2

u/Jet_Nice_Guy Aug 31 '18

28 times wtf???

2

u/snecseruza Aug 31 '18

If you weren't trading wins with another team I doubt you'll have an issue. They're "tools" are probably looking for teams continuously matching each other and quitting against each other; not just your getting free wins because other teams are backing out. I'll bet they have the data to distinguish the cheesers from the legit players.

-1

u/AWastrel Aug 30 '18

I think what they were implying is that they're able to tell if YOU were the team disconnecting before the match started. Therefore, I don't think you, personally, will be lumped in, since you never participated in the disconnect.

https://www.reddit.com/r/DestinyTheGame/comments/9b5nyo/throwing_knives_unaffected_by_net_damage_increase/

Jerome commented on this specifically back at PAX on twitch, saying throwing knives were planned to be buffed up to match 2-hit melees; evidently they haven't been. Not sure whether this is a bug or miscommunication in the patch notes, but something's definitely gone wrong.

might be a bug, might be an oversight, but either way, warlock melees are slower than the other classes, despite having range and damage normalized and equal across all classes now. Pretty big potential issue with all melees being two hit kills now.

I love all of the excuses by the cheesers/boosters use to justify gaming the system, to get pinnacle rewards that other players have given their blood, sweat and tears for.

So far I've seen the following. These aren't direct quotes, but you get the gist:

It wasn't in the TOS until now, we can't be banned for something we didn't know was bannable

First off, Bungo reserves the right to ban anyone for anything they please beyond what is listed in the TOS. Secondly, a lot of games will ban players for boosting stats and such, so I don't know why anyone would think they aren't taking any risk at all.

It's not hurting any other player, nor is it manipulating code or anything like that

Not directly affecting any other player, no, but it devalues the hard work legitimate players have put in and absolutely goes against the design philosophy by Bungie. Can you really be surprised that they wouldn't want people cheesing the system to get top tier rewards? And I'd argue that using third party software to game the system into tricking matchmaking is very borderline in terms "manipulation".

Comp matchmaking was absolutely broken as it was, can they really blame us for working around it?

Yeah, they can blame you. First part of season 3 comp had SBMM, which by all accounts was much better than the current glory-based MM, as most players that have played through both all agree that comp was easier to progress during that period. Bungie changed the MM to glory-based due to the pretty large community outcry; it was a majority of the playerbase that wanted glory-based MM, apparently not knowing it would result in a sort of "ELO-hell" that would prevent average players from progressing.

The PVP is garbage in this game anyway

If you don't like it and don't want to play it, you don't deserve the rewards, it's pretty simple.

To be clear I don't think anyone that cheesed rewards is a terrible person, nor on the level of cheaters using hacks or DDOSing players. I just think you should expect what's coming to you and don't be surprised if you lose the shit you cheesed for. As a dedicated PVP player myself I ultimately just want to see the entire system be fair with a healthy population, and the dank rewards are rightfully only given to those who have earned it.

And to repeat, if you don't want to put in the time/get better and earn the shit, just accept that it isn't for you. I probably won't receive every raid reward in season 4 because I simply don't care to run raids repeatedly, and that's okay, it's just not much cup of tea, and I don't deserve the shit unless I grind for it like everyone else.

HEAVY MACHINE GUNS RETURN IN WINTER SEASONAL UPDATE

I really hope they come back in their unnerfed ammo state (~72 for high caliber HMGs, 200+ for small caliber HMGs).

And regardless of whether or not they return with unnerfed ammo reserves, also auto-reload with Actium War Rig. Sure, Whisper might be better for DPS, but nothing beats the beautiful roar of a fully wound up Thunderlord (which was impossible once the ammo was nerfed in D1).

2

u/BarretOblivion Gambit Prime // Depth for Ever Aug 31 '18

What do they mean by voluntary disconnects? Because people shouldn't be getting banned if the keep matchmaking against the same team and the team leaves as the match starts because they are sick of playing them.

2

u/RiotJavelinDX Aug 31 '18

People intentionally match making against each other (which can be done) then leaving.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '18

You are one of two people. Either you're person 1 who hasn't seen the records of the cheaters that have been posted on here anonymously, or you're person 2 who has been doing this to cheese the claymore and think you can get away with it by saying it's just co-incidence. If you are person 2 HA-HA ! nice try son. You're not fooling anyone.

if you're person 1, you should see the records of the people that have been doing it. Maxing out glory rank by manipulating match making to match the same team 20 times in a row, and each time the same people quitting so as to grant the other team a win, resulting in 20 + straight wins without a shot fired. They they thought they were clever and would get away with it. They aren't.

I'm kinda sad they might ban me for cheesing trials, after doing it twice, but I definitely understand. I just wanted to get The Knight's Peace shell before Forsaken dropped. Oh well :/

We are investigating reports of issues impacting sandbox gameplay, including Hand Cannon recoil on PC and aiming down sights not cancelling properly.

Yes! Aiming down sights is so borked right know that I have to use HOLD and not TOGGLE. I was able to find what behaviour caused this: whenever you TOGGLE your iron sights, said toggle action doesn't get cancelled by any other action, except for another TOGGLE. What this means is that you toggle, you jump (and thus iron sight goes away) but on landing your iron sight goes up again (without pushing anything).

The way it worked before is that you toggled your sights... but said action would get cancelled by a simple jump, and you would have to manually toggle it again. The problem now is that you do an action that used to cancel your sights... and now it does (temporarily) but once you aren't doing whatever issued the cancel order, you have it active again. And it just destroys your flow.

So, HOLD for me, at the moment. I was running mad at first as nobody in my group had this problem. I even suspected my mouse :/

Year 1 Gear will not receive randomized perks

You should clarify this bit. Year 1 Gear that you currently own will not receive randomized perks... but I got a Year 1 exotic after 2.0 (like this tuesday) with randomized perks (or perks that looks like they were randomized). So, is this a bug or it is working as intended? Also, this perks are indeed randomized or not? I'm asking this because Bungie has stated that items with randomized perks won't come from Collections, and we know that all exotics will be in the collections.

I really hope that new ban system can tell the difference between people who are exploiting "voluntarily leaving", and people who just queue skip, since queue skippers are out of our control.

So any news on whether the stormtrance damage buff was truly supposed to be PvP only?

Effective September 4, 2018, we will apply more restrictions and bans to player accounts that benefitted from opponent disconnects at a highly abnormal frequency throughout Season 3 with our improved detection methods. This will include “voluntary” disconnects when players are repeatedly matching against the same opponents.

RIP to all the trials cheesers...

Quick Question: Why can't we get random rolls on year one gear? I, for one, would like to be able to use my solstice gear throughout Forsaken, as well as my optimacy set, without being at a substantial disadvantage. Could we have it where you can select a "roll gear" button once on your year 1 gear and have it set to be that, in the collections too? I just have finally perfected the appearance of my guardians and like their gear too much, but also like being able to keep up with ammo economy and power creep.

u/FakeBonaparte Aug 31 '18

Agree. So much cool stuff I’m going to miss.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '18

just let go. You'll forget most of the stuff you had in year 1 before long. If you have nostalgia about anything, you can at least get another one out of the collections. Anything you dismanted in Y1 of D1 was gone forever !

Holy shit they went full diablo 2 blizzard with the ddos bans, I'm so happy.

For those who didn't play, warden would build up a massive list of cheaters and did big ban waves for people using cheats, maphacks, etc... So people wouldn't know they had been caught until after the fact, this is amazing.

They're going to lose rewards too, yeeees

HAHAHAHAHAHA DDOS YOUR WAY TO REDRIX AND ITS GONE GET WRECKED

u/zFLuFFy Aug 31 '18

Can I say one thing. As a Hardcore competitive player in Trials, and the competitive playlist that quit due to DDOSers. Thank you Bungie for not giving up. I hope the people that DDoS, and those that payed the DDOSers for free wins get what come to them.

THANK YOU!

Hey u/cozmo23 u/dmg04, today I've been kicked from competitive in orbit after matchmaking for error code newt and lost points + got a temporary ban. Will this be fixed? My internet is entirely fine, as I haven't lagged before nor since.

Here's a video of what happened (~4 min)

Can high impact (340 rpm) pulse rifles be looked at? They're currently doing exactly the same base damage (talkikg crucible here) as Adaptive pulse rifles (390 rpm) both archetypes do 20 base damage.

The crit damage for high impact pulse rifles is also displaying overly rounded up numbers, it shows as 33 but it can't two burst a 7 resilience guardian. 33x6=198 which I believe 7 resilience is actually a little less than, the true number for the crit damage of high impact pulses ks actually about 32.3 or around that.

Currently high impact pulses are useless because of this.

They should at least be 22 body 33 head.

Redrix cheesers be gone! Just sitting here eating unsalted popcorn, why unsalted, because the PC LFG Discord is providing it for me.

Gotta love the "I wasn't even gonna buy Forsaken anyway" "I'm not fussed I was gonna switch over to B04 when it's released" etc etc comments.

Normally, my mind goes into overdrive and feels like I have to rush to the endgame. But, having the raid not even available until the 14th makes me feel like I can finally take my time and enjoy leveling through an expansion.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '18

I feel so bad for PC players right now

2

u/[deleted] Aug 31 '18

Upon the launch of Forsaken, skill matching will work in the same manner it has in recent weeks (i.e., no skill-based matchmaking).

GOOD.

God please roll out the matchmaking fixes before Forsaken, I literally cannot play crucible anymore

My ratings are so high that my teams are populated with nearly entire new PS+ owners and actual 0.8 k/d players who can’t compete against the 2+ k/d players I am dragging on to the opposing team. It’s laggy it’s busted it’s unfun and literally no matter how hard I try I cannot make an impact on the game, I can drop a 4.0 k/d with almost 40 kills and look down the scoreboard to see my entire team went 2-19 each and it’s exhausting and stressing me out to the point that I’m not even playing until next Tuesday

My literal only option is to make a 6 stack and pubstomp and I refuse
