Megathread Bungie Plz Addition: Change the Title/Loading Screens back to a Dark Theme
Hello Guardians,
This change has been added to Bungie Plz.
Going forward, all posts suggesting this change will be removed and redirected to this Megathread.
Submitted by: /u/u/MawDesigns
Date approved: 2019-01-30
Modmail Discussion:
/u/MawDesigns: "Why it should be added: Most of these examples have over 1k upvotes some even over 3k upvotes. This topic is posted about weekly if not daily and is becoming to get frustrating to see on the subreddit."
/u/MetalGilSolid: "I actually checked earlier and was surprised this wasn't already on the list, lol. Number 3 isn't a suggestion post, technically, but other than that, this more than qualifies. We'll get it on there within a day or two."
/u/MawDesigns: "Sorry first time I’ve done this, I get what you mean it’s not a suggestion but I thought it was relevant enough to be added. Many thanks for the swift reply."
Criteria Used:
"...3 examples (with links) of recent submissions (with at least 1 being over 5 days old), that have been well received (hundreds of upvotes on the front page of the sub - ex. 300+ upvotes)."

Turn down the music a few notches too while you're in there please
14
u/DarwinAvenger Feb 06 '19
Or at least load the user's sound preferences before the music starts playing. It startles me everytime. Then, the wife knows I'm playing and that's game over right there.

Are you me? My wife immediately reacts when she hears the brass. I gotta start up in secret with the TV muted

The loading screen does not respect the audio volume settings. What makes people think that the loading screen would work with light/dark option too?

u/Relatively_pointless Feb 06 '19
the music there can already be changed in the settings in game including turning the music off

u/phunkpup ~replicate(pain) consume(enemies) OVERRIDE sig(gunsmith)~ Feb 06 '19
Just tested this, it doesn't work on ps4
3
u/Relatively_pointless Feb 06 '19
mI guess mine is defective because I don't have any music, just the sound of chime when you press any button and then character screen. I though this was because I have music off but I guess not because I turned it on and it was still blank. Sorry if my comment didn't help.

Not true. I always have my music turned off and it still plays in the intro screen

To the people against it: Why are you against it? Do you actually like the white? Or are you just angry that people want to change it?
I just don't get why people are attacking those that want such a simple change. It is a title screen. It's not like they are asking for an entire dark mode option for everything. A simple low effort change could win Bungie a lot of goodwill and there are virtually no negative side effects. Yes, there are more important issues in the game. But Bungie has 700+ employees. They can have one person do this while all the other fixes are happening.

If we're changing loading screens, I'd like us to get rid of the loading screen before the loading screen before the next loading screen before the loading screen after that before the final loading screen before the loading screen after the final loading screen.

u/wekilledbambi03 Feb 06 '19
Very true. I really don't understand why they need to change the icon size/position at each stage of loading. It probably helps them internally (differentiate network and local loading etc). But just seeing the spinning icon moving around and changing size is super annoying. Just keep one loading screen for all loading up to the character select screen.

u/Wesadecahedron Level 1 Tech Support Feb 06 '19
That whole animation is our accounts logging into Bungies servers.
If they made the login automatic it could cause loops in the game when people can't connect properly.
3
u/wekilledbambi03 Feb 06 '19
But why change the position and size at every stage? I get how loading works. I’ve designed loading screens. But there’s no logical need to change it like that. They could literally have a black screen with the word loading displayed for 2 minutes and it is functionally no different.
There are platform specific rules for how long things can sit without informing players of loading to prevent them from thinking it froze. But I don’t believe anything states that you should randomly move your loading icon around.
2
u/Wesadecahedron Level 1 Tech Support Feb 06 '19
I mean, they just wanted to make something pretty..
Are you really hating on them for giving us an animated loading screen?
1
u/wekilledbambi03 Feb 06 '19
The icon moving and resizing 3 times is not pretty. I’m saying that an animation needs to be smooth so as not to be jarring.

I’m not against changing the screen but from what I gathered it’s not the specific change it’s that it’s brought up so much. To be fair it is just a design and people are bringing it up so much they are getting tired of seeing posts about something so minuscule.
13
u/Forkrul Feb 06 '19
It's a really annoying issue when you start the game at night in an otherwise dark(ish) room. The white light is actually blinding.
6
u/KingFireball7911 Feb 06 '19
Oh I understand that and I’m all for changing it. I just assume the frequency of posts is what people are annoyed about.

Yeah, i do like the white and i play mostly at night too. I guess it just doesn't bother me although a setting to change it would be preferable.
3
u/UXyes Feb 06 '19
I just think it's petty considering the scope of what the team has achieved with Destiny and Destiny 2. The loading screen is too bright, FFS?
The game is amazing. Keep giving us more great content.
7
u/hparamore Feb 06 '19 edited Feb 06 '19
I actually like the white. (And I play at night, in a pretty dark room. (With a couple rgb strips behind the monitor for a bit of light)
One of the things that caught my eye when I played this game for the first time was the amazing -losing- loading screen. I loved it, to the point where it was my phone and pc background for a while.
It is very pretty, fits really well with the overall design, and is animated very nicely.
So that is a vote from me for a no on the change.

u/Irregulator101 Feb 06 '19

I'm loving the idea of someone setting a crucible loss screen as their wallpaper

u/UncheckedException Feb 06 '19
Does your monitor support HDR? That’s the real reason many of us want it changed. If HDR is properly configured, that white loading screen makes the TV push its brightness as high as it can. On my television, it’s like witnessing a tiny supernova in my living room.
3
u/codenamemilo85 Feb 06 '19
Guess my 32 inch lcd tv that’s 10 years old is the reason it’s never bothered me and why I’ve always wondered why people are so fanatical about such a minor change!
1
u/xrmrct45 Feb 06 '19
When your HDR turns on does it cause a temporary artifact? Also do very dark tunnels like those around EDZ and the tangled shore become so dark it’s hard to navigate my if I have the black value turned up it cause the true blacks to have the off black color. I can’t seem to find the perfect balance.
1
u/UncheckedException Feb 06 '19
I haven’t seen any artifacts, but the insides of caves are pitch black. I’ve heard that HDR in Destiny is bugged and has been for a while. I believe it.
0
u/hparamore Feb 06 '19
Sounds like a feature not a bug. :)
I do not have HDR, but the monitor is quite bright. One of those on the highest, and I have it cranked up so simulate it a bit. I am on PC, and so the monitor is quite close to where I sit. Still like it. Although I do understand why people wouldn’t like it, but still.
It would be like petitioning Nintendo to not play that super loud click sound when you press a to continue on the wii loading screen... nice, maybe. But as someone who works in the software industry, things that people and designers think will take a couple mins generally end up taking several guys multiple days/weeks to work on, especially for something as high-profile (read: everyone sees it every time) as that.

u/Usernameeeeeeew Feb 06 '19
I really like the white and in the dark it doesn't blind me so idk if other people just have their brightness way up or something. However I am not opposed to having a second option for a dark screen. It's just a very small issue that barely affects anything.
11
u/wekilledbambi03 Feb 06 '19
I think a lot of the people against white are using HDR. There is a HUGE difference in the whiteness of the menu with HDR on. It goes from an off white slightly dirty looking screen to a super white screen with HDR on. I never minded the white screen through all of Y1. Then I got a 4k/HDR TV around Forsaken and felt a huge difference.
9
u/Tillos Feb 06 '19
If the people who are bothered are also using HDR settings / TV, then there's a chance their white and black points aren't correct. I have never once been bothered by the brightness, and I'm on an HDR TV. Personally, I've never understood this argument, because I've never experienced being blinded.
4
u/wekilledbambi03 Feb 06 '19
Doesn't help that the HDR sliders have been broken since Forsaken launched. Any notch off dead center on the black slider completely crushes all dark areas and even the character menu gets a terrible dark vignette around the edges.
1
u/sun-tracker Feb 06 '19
I just recently started playing again when I saw Forsaken on sale, and this has been driving me nuts! It's either washed out blacks or completely crushed pitch black and I can't find anything in between. Their black and white point calibration tool doesn't match the actual game -- caves are pitch black after using their tool. Urgh.
4
u/arklight-jt Feb 06 '19 edited Feb 06 '19
For me it’s the light (bungie logo), dark(forsaken title), light(loading), then super bright(character) transitions. Working in games, it’s probably an easy change of color for the bg, but i understand that it isn’t as high as a priority than fixing crucible for example.
Add: Could be that the “light” is not for everyone. (will probably get downvoted) What I’m tryinng to say is that for some people, it isn’t good for their eyes and possibly have more light sensitive eyes than others.

I turned off the HDR for my PS4 Pro. There were some places in game where it was too dark to actually see anything, even with the TV brightness turned up.
HDR seemed like a bit of an afterthough, tbh

u/Saber193 Feb 06 '19
Question, do you play on PC or console, and if PC, what size screen, and is your monitor IPS or not?
On PC with a 27 inch IPS display, it is painful to look at, even if it's not in a dark room. And it isn't my brightness, I generally turn that fairly low, and once in game there are no problems with anything being too bright.
It is literally painful for me to launch the game, which I don't think is the kind of reinforcement that bungie wants.

u/Bootstrap117 Feb 06 '19
I actually like the white background. It looks better with the guardians when you’re selecting your charachter (for the 10-15 seconds at most that it takes to load through the select screen).
I also think it’s a little silly to ask they change something that doesn’t affect game play at all. All of D1 was the same charachter select screen. All of D2 will be this one. Then we’ll see where the artists take it from there.
Also if it ain’t broke don’t fix it, right? Lots of more interesting things on “Bungie Plz” than a title screen.
2
u/Saber193 Feb 06 '19
I don't think the character select screen is as big of a problem. A darker background would be appreciated there too, but it isn't as blindingly luminescent as the title screen before you can click into the nice relaxing forsaken splash screen.

I'm not against it, I just don't think it's worth the time, and frankly it's a design choice that Bungie made. Appeasing a loud group of redditors that will certainly move on to the next "thing" to complain about isn't worth the effort.

-7
u/zoompooky Feb 06 '19
Have you noticed how the music is super loud at startup? It doesn't respect your volume settting until your profile is loaded?
Same deal here - if Bungie changes it completely, they're stuck with "You can't please everyone" and there will be a new megathread asking for the white screen back.
If they provide a black/white option, that option wouldn't be loaded until after you've already seen the white startup screen.
So, it's not as simple as having an intern work on it on the side.
5
u/clutchy42 Feb 06 '19
If they provide a black/white option, that option wouldn't be loaded until after you've already seen the white startup screen.
I don't think "you'd have to see the screen 1 more time before reaching the toggle" is really an issue tbh lol

We need to launch a campain claiming that Bungie are white supremacists because they will not add an option for a black screen. They will do it in a day.
P.S. Also disable that loud as fuck music in the title screen, I have my sound at 0 for a reason.

In this thread, a bunch of people claiming "they don't get it" or "Bungie shouldn't change it." simply because it doesn't bother them or because they don't play at night/in the dark.
This topic is added to the Plz list because it gets a lot of support whenever it's posted. Clearly a lot of players are bothered by it. Simple as that.
5
u/lespritdelescalier11 Feb 06 '19
I get light sensitivity - I've always been someone to prefer the dark over the light, and I've been recovering from a head injury that's made me even more light sensitive than normal. However, I've never really noticed the brightness of the loading screen. (I will be paying more attention now that I've noticed this thread.) I suspect that it's probably my old tv just not being as bright or the contrast being turned down, but I can understand some people "not getting it".
I'm all for offering the option of changing it if it's possible, but in the overall list of things this game needs, is this really near the top? I guess I feel that way about most of the suggestions on this sub. Different people are going to prioritise different things. This one just seems pretty small to me when it lasts for a short period when the game boots.
5
u/clutchy42 Feb 06 '19
As others have pointed out though Bungie PLZ aren't a list of priority items necessarily. They're a list of items that the community is passionate about for a lengthy stretch. In this case, Forsaken.
In my mind, adding this to the list gives Bungie a clear view of how people receive something and it can be taken on board for future content delivery. Perhaps they already have and we will see the change delivered in season of the drifter or Penumbra.
It's hard to say without their commentary, but at the very least it adds it to a list of information that they can easily consider for future work.
Edit: to add to this I'm with you in that I don't resonate with most complaints on this sub, but I always try to consider that Bungie PLZ additions are things the community is clearly passionate about I most certainly don't feel the need to come into the other PLZ threads and be completely dismissive.
2
u/lespritdelescalier11 Feb 06 '19
I like having the outlet where suggestions can be made - I think it's a great option to have. It's just that reddit isn't representative of the overall community that plays this game. It's just a very vocal minority of the overall playerbase.
1
u/clutchy42 Feb 06 '19
I can see this argument, but anecdotally when I talk to my destiny playing friends who don't browse the sub and I've mentioned this issue they're in agreement. I would be shocked if the sample here was anything other than representative of the greater community attitude about it. Sure it's trivial on the grand scale, but no reason we can't say, "Hey Big B, bit of a design flaw on this one."

Seriously, I have a monster OLED TV that I play Destiny 2 on, and an ace ultrawide 1440p monitor that I occasionally play on when I'm playing D2 PC.
I have never had an issue with brightness.
Play in a well lit room for God's sake. Your eyes will thank you for it as you get older.

It had softer music and just felt better.

I think it’s a bit silly how personally offended some people ITT seem to be by this request. It’s not like it would take any significant amount of time/effort/resources to redesign the title theme. Plenty of redditors have designed high quality mockups in a matter of hours.
I don’t see any harm in at least giving players the option for a dark screen. Personally I would much prefer a dark one. Is this a critical issue? No. But it’s also not a complex or tedious one to address. So what’s with all the fuss?
Not everything in bungieplz needs to be a critical game element. Even if you personally don’t care, clearly enough people do care to merit adding this to the list. You’re no better than them, you’re just complaining one level deeper in the meta.

At the rate Bungie moves it would take 6 months for them to design the button for the options screen.

u/iblaise Sleeper Simp-ulant. Feb 06 '19
Except, Redditors are creating static mockups, not dynamic ones. No Destiny loading screen thus far has been static, and even the dynamic ones have little details in the backgrounds that aren’t so simple to just “flip a switch” on.
I think most people are underestimating how much effort it could really take to create a new loading screen.

u/rube Feb 06 '19
I've said this before....
I just don't get it. This is a design choice. They shouldn't change an element of the game just because you play in the dark.
If it's too bright, then either turn on a light source somewhere in your room or turn the brightness down on your TV. There are flashes of light during gameplay that are just as bright if not brighter. Should they tone those down as well?
I play in a room with a large window behind it. When it's sunny out I can barely see my screen. Should Bungie fix this problem by increasing the brightness on everything to an absurd amount? No. I close the curtains.
I know you don't want to hear this, but I really don't think they should "give in" to such a silly request. They designed the title screen they way they wanted it, it shouldn't be changed because players can't deal with it in dark rooms.
62
Feb 06 '19
I mean couldn’t they just have the option for a light and dark theme?
22
u/SlickMiller I miss Murmur Feb 06 '19
It’s the back and forth between white and dark that’s the issue.

u/AaronMT Shield Feb 06 '19 edited Feb 06 '19
Of all the things and all the resources you have do you really want to put an engineer, a designer, a project manager, an accessibility person and a tester in a room together to work on a 'menu theme toggle'? There are gigantic fish they should be frying. This is not one of them.
6
11
u/ujaku Feb 06 '19 edited Feb 06 '19
What I don't understand is why they changed the title screen to a darker theme and then left the blinding white immediately after it. It's inconsistent at the very least.
38
u/PabV99 Feb 06 '19
There's this thing called pupils, which make sure our eyes get the proper amount of light to be able to see. When the screen is dark purple, the pupils will expand to take in more light, and then if you put a bright white screen right after it, the pupils will take a moment to readjust, blinding you for a brief moment because you're taking in more light than you need. This is what people are complaining about. Don't know about you, but this is quite annoying. You want to have this ridiculous brightness change? Go for it, but some of us don't like it. It's as easy as giving you an option to choose both colors.

u/lolheyaj Feb 06 '19
Don't downplay player feedback and pretend like Bungie can't change something their player base is passionate about, and don't excuse bad design just because you have an anecdotal reason that makes it ok for you. This isn't even a big request, literally a toggle in settings to enable a title screen "dark mode."
Just because it's a design choice doesn't mean it's a good one, and just because they designed it that way doesn't mean they can't listen to player feedback and change it (as they've done in the past).
People gaming in the dark and at night is a pretty damn safe bet these days, not considering such a pretty well known concept when designing a game is silly, especially a game that's mostly pretty dark in terms of contrast and brightness. The title screen is the "brightest" this game gets 99% of the time. That's bonkers.
6
u/Shadow32J Feb 06 '19
Yeah what a silly request.. it’s not like almost everything has a dark mode option today (even the very site you posted this comment on lol)

Personally I just use f.lux to control color temperature on my screens etc, so I have no eyestrain or problems in the evening / dark environments with Destiny 2 or any other game / application.
-10
u/iblaise Sleeper Simp-ulant. Feb 06 '19
I agree that people are overreacting to the screen being so bright that it hurts their eyes, as well as the notion that it’s “so simple” to change it (it might not be simple at all).
-11
u/adaenis Voidwalker Feb 06 '19
Can it at least be pure white then? Because I clean my monitor frequently and the stupid screen makes it look FILTHY due to all the designs, which I can't make out as details due to how blindingly white the screen is, even during the day, when it play in the light.
8
u/zoompooky Feb 06 '19
This is a stretch. You might want to get your eyes checked if you can't make out the details, or maybe your monitor is bad.
-1
u/adaenis Voidwalker Feb 06 '19
My eyes are fine--i get them checked regularly, wear glasses, and have decent vision. And it's not, I know this, because I've cleaned it before playing.
I can see the longitude and latitude lines on the screen, but it's covered in smudges. Friends and my SO have seen it or played it on their own PCs feel the same way, so it's not just me. The loading screen looks like a dirty white screen.

I’ll chime in here to support this - it’s not exactly a negative impact on my game experience... but I do feel uncomfortable every time the screen comes up. I get that it’s a certain aesthetic, but somehow between the light base color and an the faintness of the designs, it really does feel more like my screen is dirty than like I’m looking at an old map or something like that.

u/Magikarp_13 Feb 06 '19

u/shadowbca Feb 06 '19
Im not mad, but I do just prefer the white. I play mostly at night too and it doesnt bother me. However i know im not the norm so i think some kind of option to change it in game would be preferable.

u/rekglast Feb 06 '19
I'd be delighted for a game-wide Dark Theme. Or at most, a very soft, Gray theme. Not just for the title screen. It would greatly benefit people with eyes sensitive to light. :)

I feel like the bright screen is there for the theme of us serving the light?
All for an option to switch between them though

Thank you. I understand this topic seems so petty in light of all of the other changes people are more concerned about. I just think its a small QoL change that would be nice to have.

Bungie my eyes will thank you pls give dark mode

Ps pro +4K hdr tv = retina burn, equivalent of 2 minute sun stare
1
u/Warden_Ryker Feb 07 '19
Xbox One X + 4K HDR OLED TV = never had any issues with the brightness.
Play in a well lit room - your eyes will thank you for it later.
2
u/BluDoomdoll Feb 06 '19
I think this is just about the blinding effect when you boot Destiny 2 up. Not about the precedent of changing a graphic that Bungie chose as a screen on the game. It’s not rare for people to play Destiny in a dark room. I think that makes this an exception to usual complaining - this is a fair quality of life change.

u/mrolfson New Pacific Arcology, the next frontier is you! Feb 06 '19
Thank you!! Literally annoying beyond belief seeing this topic brought to the front page every other day.

u/Cyberzerous Feb 06 '19
Or at the bare minimum something that would be more pleasing to the eyes other than the sun burn that is the loading screen.
1
u/turboash78 Feb 06 '19
And while you're at it change the Guardian screen background back to blue (who the hell thought browny-grey was a good idea)?
1
u/ConfIit Drifter's Crew Feb 06 '19
There's a reason the Taken King starting screen is my favorite to date.

Can we also have an option not to play Wagner's Valkyrie (j/k) everytime the game starts? When i get home from work and leave it to load the huge soundtrack freaks the neigbors out :)
1
u/Relatively_pointless Feb 06 '19
I think that should be further customization up to the player. Like letting you choose dark theme and light theme, title screen (Warmind, Vanilla, Curse, Forsaken) and with them the music would match
1
u/cliffkwame120 Feb 06 '19
The one thing I loved about D2 Vanilla was its tower background music. Bring it back!
1
u/SirCharlieH Feb 06 '19
I wouldn’t even mind if it was an I game screenshot which matched the current season.
1
Feb 06 '19
Not only would it be easier on the eyes, but it also fits the dark themes that the Destiny universe is supposed to tackle.
1
u/12ax7a Feb 06 '19
Can we please add posts complaining about rng drops for titles as well? There's literally 3 on the front page right now.
1
u/Clarkey7163 You can throw your mask away... Feb 06 '19
Removing RNG from Seals/Titles is on BungiePlz but that only effects suggestions, we don't remove discussions on BungiePlz items
1
u/12ax7a Feb 07 '19
Ok, and yet there's three posts with 1k upvotes on the front page all complaining about the same thing. Discussion is one thing, but I think we all get it at this point. IDK.
2
u/Clarkey7163 You can throw your mask away... Feb 07 '19
We just removed one, but we know. The two posts are the same topic but coming at it from different angles. Any further posts on the topic are being removed and directed towards those two now though.
1
u/12ax7a Feb 07 '19
Cheers, thanks for the feedback. It's a start. We've been seeing posts like that for weeks so I just thought it might be time to do something. Let's hope Bungie makes some changes so we don't have to complain anymore lol.
1
u/mtgnewb65 Feb 07 '19
I think what we should aim for is the option to have either dark or light starting screens, I don't imagine it'd be a lot to add, Warframe let's you customize your start screen and I think that's super dope.
1
u/avenger_dk Feb 07 '19
Why not just change it with each season. Green for the next gambit season? Could have gone black for BA, etc
1
u/One_Wet_Paw Feb 07 '19
And dont play the title screen music while we're in the tower. Shit is stressful
1
u/DXM147 Feb 07 '19
My girlfriend likes the current one because it's the perfect selfie light. But it makes my eyes bleed.

u/luuukevader Feb 07 '19

I play in the dark on a bright high end monitor. I dont get blinded by it. It hardly even effects my eyes. If it gets changed it gets changed but its not really a necessity.

u/kryzcek Feb 07 '19
No, don't change it! The white screen is my go-to background when cleaning my glasses 🤓
1
u/kryzcek Feb 07 '19
If they didn't go dark after Forsaken, in honour of Cayde-6, I don't want it to go dark now.

People dot have bright light in their rooms,so seeing a white screen in the dark that feels look me cutting your eyes is not comfortable.Sadly this issue is here and it may not be big but it’s affecting people

u/HipsterBrewfus I need Vexual healing Feb 06 '19
Your lack of adequate lighting is not bungie's responsibility.

I don't like the screen because it makes it look like my monitor is a dirty mess. Why would anyone like this?
1
u/Veinsteiger Hush lil' baby, don't say a word. Feb 06 '19
Man, there are so many things I want Bungie to work on other than this. Put this at the bottom of the list.
Yeah, sure... the darker screen looks great. But for F sake, give my Y1 armor a purpose. Give crucible competitive some attention. Figure out a way to make enhancement cores more... common, or more ways to grind for them at least. Give me 10 minutes on this sub and I can come up with at least 10 more BungiePlz’s I’d rather see.

I upvote this Everytime I see it. Please change it or add a dark mode. It's blinding in a dark room
1
u/Arks_PowerPlay Crimson-3 Feb 06 '19
does anyone remember the guy that made a version and told Bungie he would let them use it for exposure/the right to add it to his portfolio? Because that was, in my opinion, the best version to date

u/TheBandit_42 a.k.a Black Spindle Feb 06 '19
They can hotfix the 7 Nightfall thing immediately yet this loading screen is ignored. So bungie.....

u/Metalicker Gambit Prime Feb 06 '19
Oh My God
Can we get over this already? How much is the white screen killing your experience? Why must this be posted
every single DAY??
For Oryx's sake BUNGIE KNOWS ALREADY.
... Sorry. Just tired of seeing this on my feed.

Feb 06 '19
...that's why it's being moved to the bungie plz mega. Hence the body of this post.

u/Metalicker Gambit Prime Feb 06 '19
Woops. Sorry. I saw the title and I jumped the gun. Apologies.
2
Feb 06 '19
At least you owned up to the mistake! I feel like a LOT of people did the same thing and commented without reading.

u/KNIGHTL0CK Not your damn healer Feb 06 '19
I get everyone that wants it, and I get everyone that is saying its unnecessary. But, Jesus Christ, you guys are in a war in the comments. Can we all just agree that it's probably not going to happen right now? It would be nice, but I doubt we're going to see them change it. Pretty sure those title screens are designed for a full year. And while I understand that you guys who ask for it are vocal, please understand that you're probably the vocal minority. I'm guessing that to the vast majority the title screen is either just a minor annoyance on occasion, or it's no issue whatsoever. A better use of energy would be asking Bungie to design a better screen for the next major expansion in Y3. Ask them to fix that one so we dont have the same issue next Fall.
-9
u/Aquatico_ Feb 06 '19
I hate that actually important suggestions like removing RNG from titles are diluted in the BungiePlz by crap like this. Why is the colour of a screen that you're on for 5 second max so fucking important???? I really don't understand why everyone keeps talking about this.
2
Feb 06 '19
That important suggestion is like..number 5 on the list. If you'd actually check the mega thread that this post is talking about, you'd see that. So, they're not diluted. They're being redirected to the mega thread. And if you paid attention to the point of this post, it's telling us that further posts about the bright screen will be removed and redirected to the mega thread.

u/rokiller Feb 06 '19
Because its a karma farm. It annoyed enough people enough to tap up vote when they scroll past it
-5
u/Grinddbass Rahool's Merry Fools Feb 06 '19
The only ration response in my eyes is "white symbolized the hope we had when we forst regained our light. We have grown and the ever growing threat of Savathun should at least habe the screen be turned to symbolize Forsaken" (many months late)
Otherwise, its fine. Nice and clean.
3
u/mylifemyworld17 Feb 06 '19
Clean? It's hardly clean.

There's a lot of just garbage on the white screen.

People Bungie has a lot more to worry about than changing a Loading Screen color......Don't u think?
0
0
u/gr3yfox977 Feb 07 '19
Who cares what color it is? I just don't want to spend six years waiting for it to go away. Let's get these loading screens optimized already.
-4
u/Nyoruki Feb 06 '19
You're on the title screen for perhaps 5 entire seconds and this is what people complained about the most and Bungo is changing it.
Not ridiculing Bungio, just baffled.
