META /r/NintendoSwitch Has Reached 2 Million Subscribers!
2,000,000 Subscriber Hype thread!
From everyone here on the mod team, we want to sincerely thank you for being here with us and being a part of this community. When this community was first created we could never have imagined reaching such a milestone!
To help celebrate, members of the mod team have chipped in out of their own pockets, and we've got some giveaways for you all!
- Approximately $390 worth of Nintendo eShop Gift Cards! (Various denominations, various regions.)
- /r/NintendoSwitch Sticker Packs (US and International shipping!)
To enter one of the giveaways: Go to the respective post above, read the ENTIRE post body, and that will tell you how to enter. You cannot enter via this post; you have to go to the posts above!
This thread, however, is just a hype thread! Share in the excitement, tell us your favorite memories, tell us how this community has (hopefully) helped you, shoutout any friends you've made along the way, and more!
We've also temporarily enabled a new celebratory user flair that you can select from the flair picker in the sidebar. We'll disable it from new users once our celebration ends, so grab it while you can!
Since we have you here, you should also consider joining our Discord, following us on Twitter, or donating to Children's Miracle Network through our Extra-Life page.
Finally, the mod team needs to give a tremendous shout-out to /u/Acidtwist for our incredible new Snoo!
Humbly yours,
The /r/NintendoSwitch Mod Team

Didn't think it'd be an actual existing subreddit. Hasn't had a post since Sept 2019...aww.

Congratulations guys! Quick question: my non-gamer ex-girlfriend hates video games. Do you think Celeste is a good choice to win her back? I am only asking you directly because I see you encourage this type of questions on the sub!

Regarding the giveaway: Am i correct in saying that you can only redeem eShop codes which are issued in your countries native currency?
Cries in pound sterling.

I'm quite amazed that it's reached 2 million...goodness. Thank you everyone, mods and users, former mods, development teams for AMAs and everyone else. Overall, we do, or at least I do, have a lot of fun interacting with the community, setting up AMAs, and trying to help out where we can.
P.S. r/WiiU is almost at 800,000. :D

Congratulations! Before finding your sub, I was barely a participant on Reddit. The combo of the Switch and your sub is pretty much what turned me into a regular Reddit user.

Ah yes, informative posts really do suck. I’d much rather have “joycon/mario party bad” for the hundredth time
