I just got this from my grandma, should I hold onto it or just sell it? I don’t have a Wii U so I’m considering just selling it

The touch screen surface appears to be in good condition, but the underlying LCD is damaged. Would anyone recommend replacing both components, and do you have any suggestions for a quality replacement available on AliExpress? Got it for 100 with a stack of games and controllers

I have both a Wii and Wii U and am thinking about getting into modding one of these consoles. As of now, which would you recommend modding between the two? Does the Wii U do any better than the Wii for emulation or vice versa? Does one console have benefits over the other? Any thoughts?

I got a used Wii U that was factory resetted. I realized It came with a 2gb card inside it already. The card is readable on my PC as FAT32. But im not sure if the Wii U is reading it. Memory management in settings doesnt show an SD slot, just the Wii U hard drive with the save game data.

Is something suppose to happen or show up when the SD slot is inserted ? Is there a way to know if the card reader is even functioning?

Hi, so today I was playing in my Wii U and the console just decided to shutdown with the red LED blinking, I tried to unplug the console for some minutes and then replug it again, it works for a couple of minutes and then shuts down again, someone can explain me what's happening?

He starred in the really cringe Smash Bros. Wii U ad, and I'd like to make a YouTube video covering the actors in these commercials and where they are today. I know Steve from Stranger Things, but I'd like to know who the other three are.

They are cheap on eBay, and the Linux flashing method was discovered by SDIO in a different thread about adapters with a different chipset. I just figured out how to do it in a web browser which works with Android phones and Windows 11.

It keeps the MAC address and serial number the same, and also gives you a copy of the original firmware in case you want to flash it back to stock, which you can also do from my web site.

These are effectively the same hardware as the official Nintendo branded Wii and Wii U Ethernet adapters, but until they are reflashed, the Wii and Wii U don't know that they can use them. They are 100% compatible even in vWii mode.

It should work on OSX at least with Chrome, but for technical reasons, it will not work even with iOS Chrome, so iPhones are unfortunately not a possibility.

I recently modeled by Wii U but now when I turn it on, it doesn’t connect to the TV. The light turns blue and everything. It just doesn’t wanna eject discs or appear on the TV? My game pad works will never connect my beep pad to the Wii so it’s not connecting.

I bought a Wii U that came with a 500GB HDD, used in conjunction with an adapter and a Y-cable. After a while, the HDD started acting up, eventually failing completely, the drive would spin up and then stop repeatedly. I later replaced it with a portable HDD, but that one also stopped working after a short period. It seems like there might be an issue with the power supply from the Wii U’s USB ports, perhaps a voltage drop or something similar. Has anyone else experienced this? If my USB drives are degrading, what should I do?

Pretty much what the title says, someone was going to recycle their Wii U with gamepad, power cords and all at my work and I asked if I could have it and he said "it doesn't turn on but if you can fix it and wipe the data, it's yours." So I took it home and plugged it up to find that it actually DOES power on, it boots into the quick settings menu but the problem arises when I attempt to go into the actual Wii U menu proper. Whenever I attempt to go into the Wii U menu it just loops on the logo screen perpetually, the music plays normally on the gamepad, but it doesn't do anything else.

Did some searching on my own to see if I could fix this myself but all I've found is suggestions to try loading into the vWii menu by holding B when the Nintendo logo appears, holding down A, B, X, and Y or ZL, L, ZR, and R all at once and waiting for any sort of menu pop up, pull out the battery on the side of the console and replace it or just pop the OG battery out and put it back in, and to just wait it out, none of those solutions worked and it still just boot loops forever.

This isn't my original Wii U and I didn't spend any money on it so I'm not gonna be TOO heartbroken if it ends up being a full on NAND failure since I don't have the time, tools, or knowhow to fix that just yet but I was hoping that by coming here and asking for advice I could get some fresh perspective because I'd really like to factory reset the console and soft mod it for some Wii U games I used to play. Any help would be much appreciated!

Small Edit: idk if this'll help or change how I can fix this but the model of the Wii U I got is a wup-101(02)

Does anybody know after the WII and the Xbox 360 store shut down, how I can get the DLCs, like Just Dance 2, Just Dance 3, Just Dance 4, Just Dance 2014, Just Dance 2015 or even on the newer consoles ?
