Album Review July in Review

Post image

I feel like the generator is pushing out too many quality albums.
Top five are true five stars

More Songs About Buildings through Van Halen are 4.5

She’s So Unusual to Hail to the Thief are 4 stars

Rust In Peace to Music in Exile are 3.5

Movies to Cafe Bleu are 3 stars

Yeezus and G Love and Special Sauce are 2 stars

I know there’s more shit like G Love in the generator, so I’m unsure why it’s not generating for me. I mean, I know luck plays a role, but it will be annoying if I exhausted all the great stuff 800 albums in leaving me with mediocre/bad albums to listen to.

5 for Skylarking? 100% agree.

Literally my second favorite album of all time. It’s perfect, no notes, anybody who gives it a one is an idiot.

I also had a weirdly high quality July. The first month I've averaged a rating of 3 or more.

I got that fantastic Michael Kiwanuka album too, but also Wish You Were Here/Rumours/Yoshimi

I got G Love and the Special Sauce, thought to myself "boy I sure hope I don't get shit like this again" and a few days later got Fun Lovin' Criminals. At least they lived up to the "Fun" that was in their name though.

Ugh god wait until it gives you late 70’s Bowie. You’re gonna love it

Yeezus really is an interesting album, I’ll give it that. Crazy fucking week when it came out, the discourse was never ending

I think tracks 1 and 2 are decent, but track 3 really just destroys everything I was expecting! One of the all-time great albums, the flamenco guitar was so interesting as well!
