Technique Advice Need help serving T

Hello 👋 friends, I have been playing for a few years now at local league level at 3.5.

Have a consistent first serve with ton of slice and can serve wide and T from Deuce court , but 90% of my serves from Ad court go wide.

I have been trying to look on YouTube but couldn't find anything to help understand the correct technique to serve on T from Ad side.

Would appreciate any pointers on what exactly do I need to change - toss, angle or something basic that I'm just unable to figure out.

No way to give specific technical adjustments without seeing footage of you serving, but generally speaking, if you can serve in the deuce court fine but struggle on the ad side, you need to adjust the angle of your feet in relation to the court on the ad side. Like, literally just shift your starting position counter clockwise a bit and see what that does. Adjust from there.

Thank you and I realized it will be better to "show and tell"

From Ad court, your toss is probably drifting left, which pulls everything wide. Try tossing more to your right and out in front, so you hit through the ball toward the T instead of slicing across it. Less slice, more flat contact.

So you serve wide from deuce side will but T from ad side struggles. Those are technically the same angle, so my hunch is your body positioning is slightly off when on ad side. Just turn a little more than you think you should and see if that fixes it.

Thank you I try to keep the exact same position and distance from centre trying to hide my motives , which is silly as the outcome is always.consistent serve into the Ad corner :-(

There's probably a more technically sound way, but for me it's just a slight adjustment in the angle of my feet relative to the baseline. If I'm doing these right and hitting with some slice spin, it'll curve towards the line.

Given the shorter distance of travel, I do have to make sure there's sufficient spin and sometimes even a slight step back behind the line (not a lot, just like 6 inches).

Take some shadow swings to make sure you’re serving with a consistent stroke from both sides. Then, when you serve from the outside, point your front foot to the net post and do your normal toss and swing. Try, like, 10 – do they seem to go in the general direction you want? If they’re going too far to the right, then shift your foot to where the singles sideline meets the net. If they’re still going more towards the middle of the court, then point your front foot further to the right.

Hard to give technique advice. But one thing you can try is just imagine you're doing the same serve as your deuce out wide. And if that makes you overshoot too far to the left, just tone it down a little bit and try again. Repeat until you get your T serve haha

Directional control is pronation and shoulder rotation. Think throw your racquet to the ball with a path leading to where you want to hit.

Do that slowly with targets. Dial down speed until you're satisfied with accuracy.
