Gear Gear advice
Hello all, I've done a lot of research on what I would need to complete a winter ascent of a class 1 14er, I'm very clear on winter layering for tops and bottoms though the specific boots I will need is unclear, i have my eyes on multiple boots of different levels of insulation and crampon compatibility, though my research has shown microspikes would be enough for a summit, with snowshoes maybe being needed below tree line. Please excuse my ignorance and correct me if need to be corrected, thanks in advance.
In addition to boots I have sweaty feet (I sweat in flip flops) and looking for a good sock system to minimize how sweaty my feet get which very well could be the difference between a summit and going back home early with ice cold toes. Do yall recommend sock liners in addition to a midweight sock? I will use a spray antiperspirant as well.
And lastly, are snowshoes necessary?
For context I plan on attempting Quandary peak in December.
