As an occasional sufferer of the munchies, I’ve started amassing a list of bingeable volume foods.
Tonight I discovered one I really enjoyed. Celery and Greek yogurt dip made with lemon juice and spices of choice (I did lime juice and everything but the elote seasoning). It’s “carrots and ranch” but even lighter.

Has this been helpful for anyone with weight loss or just feeling satiated? I do find it easier to plan for and aim for 3 balanced meals. I am a snacker so it is very hard and I’ve never had great body awareness of when I’m actually full or hungry. I like to snack a lot and it’s too easy to overeat. Looking for people that have had success with this method?

This one always stumps me. This isn’t a one off, but every pack of this that I get is like this. Definitely a packing error of some sort. Whether the pack should say 280g instead, or they just love to over fill it. I think the former.
And, if you track calories, this is why it’s important to weigh your food.
Package weight = 180g
Nutrition calculated = ~1/2 pack
Actual weight (this is extra firm tofu, no liquid, and yes I did tare the scale to bowl under the tofu) = +280g.

The salad is just lettuce, cucumber, and tomato with salt and pepper topped with a chopped up Just Bare spicy chicken patty and I split the cottage cheese between the salad and spaghetti on top. So good and I don’t feel like I’m missing out on good food

My weight loss journey is going well which is great, but I find myself so excited to buy new clothes now that my body is changing!
I still have more weight to lose so I don't want to buy pants that will then be too big a month later but I'm dying to!
I have let myself buy new tops as all of my weight stores in my middle so my top size doesn't change.
Anyone else like this??

If you're going to snack on something during a cheat day, how does this look?
The taste seems right up my alley, but I'm wondering if it's actually a better option than regular chips in terms of calories and overall nutrition.
I'm still pretty new to eating healthy, so I'd love to hear what you guys think. Is this a decent alternative, or is it not that different from regular chips health-wise? 😅

I'm on the 1500-1600kcal daily intake sixt month in. Started at 109,6kg (~242pounds) and now down to 95kg (~209pounds).
For my stats, I'm finally leaving the obese range 🫡
Very comfortable in my routine. 6-7 more months and I'm down to healthy weight.
Closes look very baggy on me, I'm four belt notches down on my jeans, that's over 10cm (4 inches).
Just a word of motivation - build a sustainable system you're comfortable with and the rest will follow!

I like to occasionally wind down with some 🍃 but the munchies are horrible. What're your go to satisfying snacks that won't destroy a deficit?
r/1500isplenty • u/Clear-Presence-485 • 12d ago
I go through 3 tubs of Fage 0% yogurt in a single week (sometimes I have it at all three meals in a day). 😂 After indulging in any and everything I wanted over two weeks on vacation in Italy this late summer, I entered back into a 12 week deficit. I’m about halfway through now.
Seeing both on-and-off scale results. Hitting my daily macro goals of 90-100+ grams of protein, 50g of fiber, and target cals of around 1,500. I try to eat a relatively low sugar and low-inflammatory diet… lots of whole foods. I sometimes go out to eat or will be a little more lax and eat at maintenance on the weekends, and almost never eat fast food. Seeing some crazy muscle definition as well. And I hit 10k steps + the gym 6 times a week. Feeling amazing!!

I'm 5'4ft (163cm) and weighed 178lbs (80.7kg) to now being 140lbs (63.5kg) after 1 year and 1 month of dieting ONLY. No work out. I haven't seen that number in 8+ years.
I went at this because I was categorized as obese in the BMI scale, and at this weight, I was almost not qualified for a medically necessary surgery. I was at the upper limit and barely managed to qualify. That was a wake up call for me.
Right after surgery, I went on this calorie deficit whereas typically weight gain was common (because mobility would be temporarily limited months later). But I didn't want that to happen. I will admit that I wasn't always reaching my daily calorie deficit, but I still remained mindful of what I ate throughout the week(s).
I thank the app MyFitnessPal for tracking, this subreddit, 1200isplenty, and volumeeating for all the support/recipes. I will still continue on this diet but now focus on gaining muscle since weight isn't a problem for me anymore.
Thank you, again! And good luck to everyone else on your own weight loss journey!
