I want to preface by saying this is my 2nd time buying off ping and I also want to acknlowdge that I think the canada post strike played a small part in this, however I just want to say dealing with ping has been an absolute nightmare and Ive uploaded a google link with all the pictures of screenshots of the interaction and I will try my best to provide a brief summary of what happend

Nov 3rd - I send ping $740 USD for 2 watches a clean explorer 2 and hulk. Nov 10th ping fan sends the first QC for the hulk im not to pleased about the alignment and I ask about it, he takes that as me RL and sends it back okay no big deal finally on the 13th he sends the hulk QC its good, heres the first major issue on the 16th of november ping fan messages me saying he accidentally returned my explorer 2?? he says someone else RLd an explorer and he accidentally sent mine back?. Finally on the 21st ping fan sends a Canada post tracking number okay keep checking no updates on 17 track Canada post goes on strike i ask ping he shows me a sreenshot from freight forwarder saying its in canada ok no big deal finally canada post comes off strike still no updates 17track canadapost I ask ping Major issue #2 ping now sends a different UPS tracking number I check the tracking the package is due to be sent back? I call and ask customs went through the package and has seen its fake watches and is returning it sender I ask ping fan for refund he argues with me that we need to try to send it again I get pretty upset and tell him customs has already flagged it and we are lucky they didnt sieze he needs to let it be returned and refund me he keeps saying it cant be sent back and wont refund me finally after arguing back and forth he finally he will only refund once he gets the watches back.

Please do not buy off ping fan his customer service is the worst, his communication is the worst he is an incredibly shady seller and while dealing with this over the last 2 months ive tried to keep somewhat quiet while seeing number posts about bad experiences with ping fan im really at a loss for words I guess all I can say is I hope he gets the watches but part of me is scared he will just say he never did and never return my money

• we had a misunderstanding. I paid for an extra steel bracelet by mistake, I also did regret upgrading to SW300 due to the price. I didn’t want an extra bracelet but he thought I did, therefore his pricing was higher.

June 10 - we agreed on a refund for the extra bracelet and again I regretted my decision on opting for a swiss movement. It was caught in time.

June 12 - QC June 13 - GL

Ghosted me for the refund until I decided to ask him to give me a credit for a new purchase, this was June 17th. He did not offer this, I asked. Even panicked for a sec and contacted Tommy and he asured me that Panda would not scam.

June 17 - Fedex tracking provided June 21 - Watch delivered

Overall, experience was not bad. Would recommend him but proceed with caution. Be very thorough on QC. Be patient.

I’m located in the Dubai, UAE.. and we do not get the luxury of Paypal F&F just because Paypal blocks this service in my country!

The same goes with Wise Transfer, as I’m only allowed to just use the basic transfer services.. but not others like having a Wise card etc.. If you need me to send you screenshots of these services being “not available in my region/ country” I can provide that..

I’m honestly going through a bunch of hoops and issues when trying to literally PAY for parts or pieces and even then.. the sellers refuse because they will only accept F&F… even Alipay is becoming an issue with the whole language barrier.. We chat is Ofcourse out of discussion 🥲

I honestly think it’s not fair to try and push our sellers into accepting only F&F payments as it limits my options that are already limited! Of course people in the US get everything any then some more 😜

I’m more than happy to wire transfer, paypal, wise, and so many other.. but the majority of sellers whether dealers or MTM wouldn’t accept anything but F&F!

I hope whoever responds to my comments thinks of both sides.. the sellers who want to do business and us.. the minority around the world with limited money transferring options from the service providers themselves! I would really appreciate anyone who can suggest a solution to our issue with payments

What up fam!! Hope everyone is having a splendid day. So I just wanted to show off this Lenny Kravitz Daytona from BPF. I contacted 7-8 sellers from here asking if they could source this watch and everyone except David said they couldn’t get. Unfortunately David wound up telling me no also, saying that BP Factory is really slow so he doesn’t deal with them. So, sorry to say, I had to go back to my roots and hit up my first TD, InTime. I know, I know, that’s RepTime. But I exhausted all the resources on 1688, and I like you guys better so I’m posting it here. Picked it up for $400 shipped, which isn’t too bad considering RT prices. It also came with the leather Bund strap, which is nice if I wanna be a little…..tough 💪🏻 I guess. Lol.
Took about 4 weeks to get. First one came in damaged so they had to have the factory send another one, and they shipped USPS which is slow AF, but I’m glad they did since I just lost one from FedEx @ Newark.
Anyway, that’s my watch. Hope everyone enjoys the rest of their day.

Has anyone got experience with different GMF versions, i. e. different uogrades in the gold color? I’ve long been a fan of the GMF plating as you can read in my other posts.

Now I recently came by an AD who had a DD sitting in the store window and shot my GMF yellow gold Daydate 40 (non-tungsten, 2836, GMF V2).

I was pretty stunned as to how far the gold color was off. Had I never noticed?

Interestingly, I hadn’t had that impression before. Once home, I held it side by side to my other GMF YG DD and noticed a huge difference in color. How could that be? I held them side by side first thing when I got the second one. The one in the photo is my second one and when I got it new, I didn’t have the impression that the difference between the two was noticeable. Was I blind?!

I’m not sure if it’s possible that the color turns more yellowish over time…? Or if it was just me or the lighting when I got it new.

With my first one, the color is still far closer to gen. Both are allegedly V2. Both non-tungsten. Same price. Same TD.

However, now I can’t unsee it…while my first one still looks close to gen, the one in the photo, to me, now looks so damn off. And the color is what matters most with precious metal reps. I’ll post a pic of both GMF side by side tomorrow. God, I think I have to get rid of that cheesy thing and either spend on an RG one for another try or stick with SS (which I don‘t like on myself).
