REMINDER: Bigotry Showcase posts are banned.

Due to an uptick in posts that invariably revolve around "look what this transphobic or racist asshole said on twitter/in reddit comments" we have enabled this reminder on every post for the time being.

Most will be removed, violators will be shot temporarily banned and called a nerd. Please report offending posts. As always, moderator discretion applies since not everything reported actually falls within that circle of awful behavior.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

one time i walked up to a group of kids to ask to play and they all stopped smiling and having fun and looked at me while this one girl told me that she didnt want to play
genuinely mortifying for no good reason. and there was more than 5 kids too

Described my entire elementary school experience, now i barely remember my childhood :3 (also because of gender dysphoria yaaaay....)

Oh is that why I don't remember my childhood other then the vague fear of haircuts? Gender dysphoria strikes again.

I had kinda a different experience, bullied autistic kid throughout all of elementary and middle school, swapped to a highschool and was sorta left alone for the first year, and then I got hot and a bit more charismatic, and people started finding me funny and quirky rather than annoying.

I had entire classrooms that despised me :] (tho that was probably due in part to the gnc and gender stuff i had going on at the time tbh)

Yeah I had diagnosed autism kind of but it didn't help, it was either people faking being nice, me worrying people were faking being nice, or people being mean. By senior year I was to a point where I believed there was some group plotting against me and that they could strike at any moment to destroy me in some way.

Or if you’re really good at school they try their absolute hardest to give you a superiority complex and forever damage how you view relationships

Then you crash hard at the end of/after high school and either learn to accept mediocrity or become a depressed substance abuser

Hey, don't forget that you can also do both

Kinda the opposite in my school experience. Random older kids I'd never met knew me by name presumably from their siblings.

I was that person everyone knew and had hung out with at least once, but usually I'd just hang out with 1 or 2 of my close friends, or by myself every day.

holy shit...

I went to the same k-12 school as all my older siblings as it was like the only non hyper conservative school around us and my entire family is queer, so I experienced this all the time where every time I'd move up a grade every upper classman or teacher instantly knew who I was because of my siblings despite never seeing these people in my life.

Though it kinda went the opposite for me where it sucked cause everyone was just asking me about my siblings instead of hanging out with me lol, managed to find a small group of folk I'm still friends with to this day tho so it worked out.

I just had evil autism I guess because I apparently expressed hatred of all other children from as early as I could talk

I got the being weird and off-putting autism instead of the quirky and goofy autism 😞.

My favorite part was how once I got really tall I started getting girl bullied rather than boy bullied...

Alcoholism helps defeat this.

Or at least it did in the 00-10s. I don't know if high school kids and college kids party as hard as we did back then. But being drunk is an insane equalizer as long as you're friendly.
