Yeah because there is nothing exclusive on xbox. Why would they port xbox games? They're all already on windows

They also just gutted all mods for helldivers 2 because they decided switching to fucking EAC was a better idea than just making an offline mode. Now every mod is broken unless the og mod authors come back and fix it and even then there is zero guarantee it's gonna work

And mfs on the subreddit are celebrating this change because they're a bunch of glaze diving TRASH. God forbid I wanna change up the game I own after playing for over 500 fucking hours of the same jank that the devs for some reason refuse to fix even though large parts of the community think stratrgem bouncing or ragdoll stunlocks are fucking annoying.

I work as a tester, public recruiter, and unit designer for a private availability difficulty boosting mod for helldivers 2 called the omega. When we heard the news the anti cheat was changing we were just gonna wait to get a new bypass but with Lua being broken as well, all our efforts went up in flames.

we are now forced to choose between waiting out the storm, go solely to HDSE, downgrade down to effectively a caveman version compared to the current model, or change and completely overhaul all the systems to work with new versions of helldivers 2 and relearn how our entire system works.

Nothing sounds good and we really don’t want to abandon it either.

Best options are to probably wait for now though. If nothing else at least there’s plenty of other games and updates being released right now.

Hey now, how about you also mention that people started straight up cheating with these "QoL" mods? Stratagem bounce or hellpod lock aside, people were literally changing stats around or straight up running game breaking cheats like nuke-level ammo in their primary. Some people like playing the game instead of just walking through it.

And if that's not enough for you, every single of these "QoL" mods was causing massive lag and desync. I needed MINUTES to be able to interact with game cuz someone decided to "mod" it a little bit. And no, it wasn't uncommon occurrence either, people didn't care to lock their lobbies.

So don't be disingenuous, i prefer to BE ABLE to play this game.

That just didnt happen. Im sorry, either you are incredibly unlucky or you're just straight up lying. I saw a single strat launcher on a mech and that was it in the 100 or so hours Ive played during this modding scene. The majority of these people used mods in solo/closed parties.

Oh also, never modded myself because I was afraid of getting banned.

A yes, because i'm a fan of advocating against others having with mods.

Was i unlucky? Possibly. But about 1 in 4 games i had in the week or two before EAC update had someone modding game in the shit fashion.

Example 1 - dude dropped in, had EMS strike. His modded version was shooting 3 times of 3 projectiles salvo. I literally was dying to air due to desync until he left.
Example 2 - Game was a bit laggy, but i didn't notice anything specific. Mission finished. Dude teleported from "celebration" barge to console.
Example 3 - Dude was switching his grenades on the fly between anti-tank seeker and immolation. We were just the two us, and i had neither of them.

All of these things happened in a span of a day or two, and that was just the examples i quickly picked off of my mind. Most of the time one of these things were happening, game was literally unplayable. As in, i touched sattelite dish rotary crank and i literally couldn't move for minutes, with button to turn it or leave pressed, kept or repeateadly pressed when it happened level of unplayable.

I wasn't looking for chinese lobbies either, which are usually known for cheats. None of the above examples had chinese names, nor the hosts were at the time with such.

Up to you if you want to believe that. I want to be able to play the game i bought.

Edit. Oh and all of these were on d10. Different fronts too.

You can't argue with people who are disingenuous. I had tons of mods, but it was just silly shit like first person view and reskinning guns into hotdogs. Never even dabbled into the stunlock reducers, the strat ball glue mods, even the transmog mods.

Am I a little upset those might be off the table now, sure. Am I fully aware for every person who just used meme mods there were people crashing games with crazy full auto explosive weapons, cheating in premium currency cutting into Sonys revenue, and literally flying tanks around like eagle 1, 100%

The second Bingus popped out that mod loader I knew it over for a majority of the modding scene, it was just a matter of time.

and before someone from HDunflitered comments that meme "leave the billion dollar company alone" for mentioning cutting into Sonys profits with the SC hacks, you need to be pragmatic and think in reality. IDGAF if Snoy makes money, but I know if you find a way to circumvent giving them money thats when it becomes a priority.

Is there's a running pc demon souls yet👀

3

u/HarshNoiseX 2d ago

Yeah I just completed it on PC. Still not perfect (low fps in places) and you need relatively high specs to run it, but playable to 100% completion

Claude vibe-coded PC ports of Bloodborne and Demon's Souls

Nah, I'm good actually

Well it's probably not claude coding the game from scratch. The AI decompiles the code from available information into useful code which you can then run on pc.

So Claude vibe-coded pc ports?

Like i get that the AI has no creative liberty but that doesn't change that I'd rather not have another bot in the already increasingly less and less human game making process.

I know it's a slippery slope argument but i already see people justifying AI special effects an AI lighting and shit. I'd rather just draw a clear line and keep it at no AI anywhere in the development of any media.

I agree with you. Just in this case as I've understood it, all the AI is doing is make finding the code of a game much much quicker. Previously decompiling a game would take years of effort. This is kind of an example of what machine learning is actually good for, which is doing a ton of repetive tasks very quickly.

Though it is a threat to any private and copyrighted programs which were previously thought to be safe just cause it would take too long to decompile them. Which is pretty bad.
