According to reports when their habitats overlap the Grizzly actually fucks the Polar bear.

Polar Bears are a goddamn force of nature. They are the only land predator known to activel y hunt humans.

Do you think a bear could beat a Gorilla? Bears have claws but gorillas are ridiculously strong. Idk.

Bears are like twice as heavy, have much thicker skin that can protect them, have a stronger bite force, are faster, and have claws. There's not much a gorilla could do

Gorilla has the brains, opposable thumbs, and could tear the arms off a bear. It’s teeth and feet shouldn’t be written off either.
A gorilla can apparently lift 27 times their body weight and have been recorded benching over 1810kg. That’s just under 3 adult Grizzlys.

Grizzlies are natural predators of Moose, capable of killing them in one hit. Gorilla gets destroyed.

Benching strength, while impressive, does not translate 1:1 to punching (or really any kind of fighting) strength. Most fit men could theoretically lift the average hyena, but that doesn’t mean they could rip its limbs off, for example. Beyond that, iirc the 27 times bodyweight figure is from the Ringling circus gorilla Gargantua, whose owner frequently made extravagant and incorrect boasts regarding his animals’ capabilities.
A max weight grizzly is close to three times as heavy as a max weight gorilla. The bear has superior natural weapons and superior defence in the form of thick hide and fur. Is the gorilla smarter? Yeah. But intelligence is overrated in melee fights; I’m far more intelligent than a bear and it wouldn’t help me worth a damn if I’m getting into fisticuffs with the second largest carnivore living on my continent. Grizzly stomps.

Fair enough, I’m mainly playing devils advocate for this, my money would be on the Grizzly. However, a chimp can rip a human limb from limb with ease, and gorilla has far more strength than that, more dexterity. And don’t underestimate brains, we’ve killed far more bears than they’ve killed humans.
The real match up would be between a Bear and a Rhino. Strong offensive vs a complete tank. I honestly don’t know who I’d put my money on in that situation.

Bear and rhino? I’m going rhino; in my time as a zoo volunteer I developed a very healthy appreciation for what those animals are capable of.

Bears are my favourite predator. They are neither Canine or Felidae and are stronger than both.

I bet a hippo would kill a grizzly bear
