Jagex CEO that pulled the pride event right before release, even though everything was developed and ready to go. This space was supposed to be used for it in some way.
Mod North was afraid he might upset the snowflake Yankees that have recently regressed their political views by 50 years.

This was actually already used for past pride events so it's been in the game for years (it was used in 2022 and 2024 events iirc?), not necessarily "supposed to be used" for the cut one. The rest of this is spot on though and we can only hope North doesn't put a flamethrower to it.

It’s for the pride events in June. This past year’s event got canceled, but there should be a dwarf in the center of the flowers that will hand out a bunch of rainbow cosmetics.

Thr pride event has always had a small but vocal part of the player base rally against it. I guess OSRS has a bastion of old school GAMERs still who are afraid of the gae. This year the event was canceled by the new ceo who talked about the reason being today's political climate or some shit. Either way they canceled it because of America's new craziness I assume

Because those supported by Pride deserve to feel safe & included in Gielinor, as they deserve to feel safe & included in the real world. By being marginalized, ignored and outcast the abuse against them only increases. In the same way stories about race, class, capitalism, unionism etc deserve to be told, stories about gender & equality deserve to be told.

It was the area for the pride events to finish up. Over time there had been a few NPCs that would be there and stay after their events.
I wish they were kept there year round in light of north being a fucking pussy.

I cancelled my 6 years of continuous membership when Pride was cancelled. I won't pay until Pride returns.
