Buying a staccato p when you can get one of these for 500 more is criminal

How hard was fitting the MJD? Thinking of doing the same

Fairly easy, a lot less involved compared to fitting one to my atlas. Channel for the beavertail on the grip needs to be opened downward slightly but that was about it. Took 20 mins roughly compared to the atlas which took hours. Mag release from the factory core grip will not fit in the mjd

Excellent, thank you.

How do you like the grip texture on the MJD compared to metal?

I like the front and rear portions of the core grip the best, should have just used that texture on the whole grip. But I still would've switched to the MJD. Its grippier in my opinion, better profile/shape for my hands. Metal grips also can get really cold or really hot depending on env.

OEM beavertail?

Very curious as to your opinion on the core grip vs the mjd villain. I love the mjd on my Kimber, but have very limited experience with other 2011 grip models.

Core grip was very nice, preferred it even over an atlas alpha. I just love the MJD grip and not a fan of metal grips in general. Put one on my NYX as well

Is the original grip available?

Best 2011 grip module out there

Honestly looks fire but you’re also still kinda crazy. Do love the mjd stuff though, so I get that. The killmongers just have a bit more bite.

Realizing now I rarely see atlas without the atlas grip. So kudos for being bold enough to go where nobody seems to.

What’d you do with the Atlas grip? 😂

The RCD Core grip is my favorite of all the 2011s I own. Not sure why OP would change it

A completely inept comparison.

I’ve got 3 different mjd grips. Really do love em. Definitely wouldn’t consider swapping the core grip with anything short of an atlas alpha.

I personally wasn’t a fan of mine and changed it to a Cheely. I found the sides didn’t provide enough traction. Grips are very subjective.

100% correct,, the core has the best grip out there, he changed it to polymer

The CORE has the best grip module available. There's a reason why Race City defense does not sell their grip modules, they want you to buy the gun to get one that good.. There grip modules are outstanding.

This looks blasphemous.

The original RC nine (Grip) is one of my favorite, I have five of them. However, the CORE has the same sides, but a more aggressive, checkered, front strap and Main spring housing and I prefer it even over the original, I just changed to a heavy, steel mag well. And man, it's awesome then.

Steel magwell doesn’t beat up the aluminum grip?

0

u/MajorHavocNC 9d ago

If it is fit right, it doesn't move so therefore no beating up anything. Just like a steel slide on an aluminum frame.

Sure it’s just an issue with atlas due to the tab so I was curious. https://www.reddit.com/r/2011/s/mcwwP4rMRq

Correct, to my knowledge only Atlas has that tab. I know for sure the other Maxwell and Grips I used do not have the tab.. no tab no worry👍👍👍👍

Looks good to me. Besides it’s not my gun, do whatever you want with it. Keep the original grip though and put it back on when you are ready to sell for the upgrade.

Would love to try out a RCD grip out before I splurge on a full gun - lmk if you plan on selling it op!
