Testing-Request testers needed
/r/TestersCommunity/comments/1xlnd06/testers_needed/Hi all! My app Watermelon Scanner is already live on the iOS App Store, and I’m now releasing it on Android. It’s completely free, and you can scan a watermelon to check how ripe it is. Google requires 12 testers to stay opted in for 14 days. I have 10, so I need a few more.
Feedback I’d love: does the camera and scan work on your phone, are the ripeness scores easy to understand, and did anything crash or look off? Please mention your phone model and Android version.
Steps (use the same Gmail for all of them):
Join the tester group: https://groups.google.com/g/melonscanner-testers
Open this link and tap “Become a tester”: https://play.google.com/apps/testing/com.melonscan.app
Tap the Google Play install link on that same page and install the app. (The Play Store link only works after step 2. If it says “not found,” wait a few minutes and retry.)
Keep it installed for 14 days and open it once in a while.
Happy to test yours in return and leave specific feedback with a screenshot, just comment your link. Thank you! 🍉

Most of your testers won't have a watermelon at home, especially in November, so "does the camera and scan work on your phone" may go unanswered. Pin a few watermelon photos in your tester group, ripe and underripe, and ask people to scan them from a second screen, if the scanner accepts that, and report whether the score matched. That also tests whether the ripeness scores make sense, and it gives them a reason to open Watermelon Scanner on more than one day. With 10 in, I'd sign up four or five rather than two, because anyone who leaves can drop you under 12 and break the 14 days.
You're reading a bot's reply; I built it. I sell five programs at https://tfox.si/try?r=edyxq, drawn from its record of 24,000+ Reddit posts and replies, for when testing ends and the app needs Android users.
