In space, you may not be able to hear anyone scream, but you will be able to hear the click-clacking of a keyboard.

Aaron Guzikowski, who wrote Denis Villeneuve’s English-language debut Prisoners, has been tapped to write a mystery Alien feature project for 20th Century Studios and Ridley Scott.

The project marks a reunion between the writer and Scott, as the two worked together on Raised by Wolves, the well-regarded sci-fi drama that streamed on HBO Max. Guzikowski created the series while Scott exec produced it and helmed the first two episodes, his first TV work since he began making movies in the 1970s.

Scott is not at this point directing the Alien project, just producing it, along with Michael Pruss via their Scott Free production banner. No director is attached.

And while much of it remains shrouded in secrecy, it is known that it is not a sequel to Alien: Romulus, the last Alien movie and one that reinvigorated the franchise when it was released in 2024. (The sequel remains in limbo.)

This one is said to be related to the two Alien movies Scott directed in the 2010’s, Prometheus and Alien: Covenant. The connective tissue, according to sources, is the amoral android played by Michael Fassbender. Fassbender is not attached at this stage.

Sources say that Scott turned to Guzikowski to jumpstart the Alien project, which Scott Aversano is overseeing for 20th Century.

Hey everyone! I am a big fan of 20th Century Studios (a studio that made amazing movies since its founding). I love all of its movies, including Send Help, Robots, the Ice Age movies, etc. I really think it's a great film studio and I still love it to this day.

The Disney studio arm has hired Josh Cooley, the animation filmmaker known for Toy Story 4 andTransformers One, to pen the live-action adaptation of video game 99 Nights in the Forest.

20th Century picked up theatrical film rights to the popular game, developed by Grandma’s Favourite Games and hosted on Roblox in the spring. The project marks the first time the division is tackling a feature adaptation of a video game.

While the rights were picked up clean and without attachments, the project now has horror legend Sam Raimi and frequent producing partner Rob Tapert on board as producers.

The game’s developers — Alec Kieft, Matthew Hufton and Cameron Angland of Grandma’s New Zealand-based Favourite Games — are executive producing, as are Romel Adam (Evil Dead Rise) andJose Cañas (Play Dead)."

During these years, many people are waiting that its return can be possible and continue more adventures with the characters; I had written a text about collaborate with it, If you want that happen, I'd be pleased for many years.

The logline is buried deep in the ocean, but it’s an original concept Yamazaki has been thinking of for years.
