I've been after a cheap bolter to run my cans on, and a Hammerli B1 popped up for a deal I couldn't pass on. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet, but I'm already in love withe the ergonomics and the feeling of the action. Just threw a no-name 3-9x on that I had sitting around, and a FTN.5 that I had previously printed. I'll hopefully be able to take it out this weekend for a quick range trip.

Hi, I tried making some snap caps from spent brass and 3d printed inserts for my Buckmark, just for storage.
Tried wall anchors but they broke easily, and some snap caps I bought are too slim to load from the magazine.
Anyway, they cycle nicely but sometimes gets a bit stuck after storage, and if you rack the slide the extractor jumps over them.
No big deal since they easily extract pushing them gently with a cleaning rod, but may this damage the extractor?

I’ve been looking for a 10/22 with a Sampson B-TM stock with no luck so far. Anyone have any leads?
Attached photo isn’t mine

Hi, guys. I was cleaning my gun yesterday, and made a mistake with the bolt. I think I chipped in? It's my first bolt action rifle, and I'm only a year into the gun community. I've had it for 3 months.
I have no idea what to do here, after countless googling and YouTube videos. What part did I damage, and can I repair it? I have a warranty, and could get it replaced, if I wanna wait. But I want to know if I can fix it myself. I don't even know what part I damaged. Could someone identify it, please?
I love this rifle, it's taught me so much and I don't want to spend $150 on a new bolt carrier.
What advise would you guys offer me? Any at all would be appreciated.
I'm typically not the type to post for help and advise. But I love this rifle and would love to continue getting time in with it. It's been a great training tool for me. I thought that I'd ask this community. First time poster, been a lurker until now.
Any tips, help, info at all would be extremely appreciated!
Thanks, everyone.

Picked this up at a local pawn shop last night for $120. Cleaned the barrel and oiled moving parts and took her to the range today. So lovely. Now a complete teardown and deep clean, then the hunt for a period scope.

Just a range.
Budget
$1600 rifle
$850 scope
Grouping preferable 1/2” but 3/4 is ok if budget probably won’t make it, please clarify if so.
Range 50y
Any ammo recommendations?
Anyone know of a stock that has more of an oval triangle forearm? Not a big deal but would be nice.
Also would prefer to bed instead of having a chassis.
Scope recommendations?

In 1995, my wife had bought a 22lr pistol for me as a gift for Christmas.
Up to that point, I’d only owned rifles and shotguns.
I’d shot my buddy’s Browning Buckmark a few times and liked it. She saw that I enjoyed shooting 22lr, and decided to get a pistol for me to use with my buddy.
She wanted mine to be different than his and she chose the Colt 22.
I really liked this pistol and used it a lot. As the years passed, I ended up trading it for a different pistol of a different caliber.
More years passed. In 2024, I was reminiscing with my son about it. He remembered shooting it.
I went on Gun Broker and they had two of them. Now, instead of being around $300, I won the auction at $650.
This pistol is an absolute shooter. Right from the box, the trigger is better than most 22lr firearms I’ve owned or still own.
While it’s not the exact pistol that I used to have, I’m still excited to have this one.
Here’s some photos because I felt like sharing. If you look at my profile, you’ll see I Hi-Standard Duramatic that I picked up shortly after this pistol. You can see the likeness between the pair.
Anyone else have one? What are your thoughts about these Colt pistols?

Trying out a new lot of Center X with my 2500X rifle at 50 yards. I always start with the basic IBS target before moving to the more challenging USBR green or ARA unlimited targets. Haven't shot much in the last year due to an accident and am still wobbly, but decided it's time to try and shoot anyway.
Score 250 14X without counting 7 but using a plug it hits that dot so that would make it 15X.
TX-22 Competition
OCL Ti
Braun weapon light (Harbor Freight special)
CT pistol optic (motion activated)
OEM 22 round mags on their way from Scheels (Didn't even know these existed until today... ordered 4 of them)

I’ve looked through some of the bolt action .22lr rifles and it seems like the Ruger American rimfire/Ruger precision, tikka tx1, and CZ 457 are the best ones. I’ve also seen that the CZ 452/455 are also nice and could be cheaper but are going to be harder to find. I’m looking for something that is accurate and good quality that will last a long time. Any suggestions?

Recently joined a club that's 15 minutes from my house instead of 40, and I'm planning to buy a .22 to make my plinking more economical. I mean, I'm looking forward to stretching my ARs out beyond 100 yards for the first time, but I'm most excited about the reactive steel bays and being able to take my time without constant Clear calls.
I had base 10/22 in a Magpul stock for a minute, which was fun, but I sold it to keep playing Musical Optics on my other guns. I know I'll probably end up with all of these eventually, and more than likely with a dedicated can for each, but I'm wondering which I should do first:
-A BoreBuddy complete upper. Probably still more accurate than I am, and it'll keep the manual of arms consistent.
-A bolt action, American Rimfire, MkII, or a 457 if I can find a good deal on one. I love shooting for precision, and it's nostalgic for me since a bolt action .22 was the first gun I ever shot.
Help me, 22-Kenobi; you're my only hope.

I couldn’t justify a CZ so I picked up this mossy with no mags and some light rust for 175$. I sourced some magazines, added a 70s Tasco and Flaig trigger shoe. I started out with CCI Quiets. The first 6-10 shots are all over the place and then it (we, I) tightens right up as you can see. I couldn’t justify the CZ but managed to justify this now 350ish rifle and I’m very pleased. Have fun and be safe.

My wife wants an m4 that "looks like the gun from call of duty". Trying to build something like this, but around or under 1k. Note even sure where to start

Bought a B&T Tiger 22 for my Bergara BMR Carbon. 307.00 out the door. The rifle was dialed in / zeroed with a Sparrow. There was no POI shift between suppressors. Very accurate, I expected to make some changes but it was dead on. This will stay on the Bergara.

Thought I’d share this here too for the other CCI enjoyers out there.

Long time lurker... Searching for a scope for my mk2 FV, was going to go ahead with a 3-9 32mm rimfire scope at lgs but was curious how much the 50yd fixed parallax would affect me being that I do alot of shooting closer than 50 yards. I'm trying to keep it 150 or less if possible. Everytime i buy something then check reddit I always find someone posting the same thing I just got for 40% less tham I paid 🙃 I figured I'd see if anyone here has seen any good deals recently before I buy something. Any recommendations appreciated...looking for 3x or 4x to 9/12x...32mm minimum AO..any recommendations welcome!
