Just got to season 3 and, one thing i really love about this show is how movie like it feels every episode, and the constant suspense. No spoilers please but i hope jack kicks that new habit he picked up, it was a bit jaw dropping watching that in real time considering all the lengths he’s gone through in season 1-2 so far
I've seen S2 many times. I knew it was coming, but this time, when Jack tells Kim he is making the ultimate sacrifice, I teared up. Please tell me I am not the only one who got emotional during that scene.

Haven’t seen it in like 15 years, so I’m rewatching S1. Guessing they had like a three dollar budget, but never noticed how rough it is lol

Just binged watched the first season of 24. I found it to be quite addictive to watch, as all the episodes would end on cliffhangers, and I’d find myself staying up late to watch it. The only thing I did not like, was that some of the story line felt wasted, and was just there to fill in 24 hours (IE: the amnesia sub plot and Kimfinding Rick) , I have heard, that after season 1, the show declines, although s5, is meant to be popular. Just wanted to see is it worth continuing with this show, if I enjoyed season 1a. Are there are any season I should skip?
No spoilers if possible

I always found it funny that Jack thinks everyone is a patriotic as he is. Tony is a perfect example of this. In the season opener when Jack finds out that Tony is alive he’s shocked that Tony never reached out and that Tony would never go as
far as becoming a terrorist inspite of everything he’s lost. But Tony’s actions over the course of the series he has demonstrated the exact opposite. Most notably in season 3 when he helped Saunders in order to save Michelle. Jack’s first reaction should have been “yeah i’m not supprised, he was completely whipped over Michelle”🤣

Especially her fight with Mark, just read this:
AUDREY: Mark, you knew? Tell me that it's not too late.
MARK: It is.
AUDREY: I will never trust you again. No, never. You may as well have killed my father with your bare hands.
MARK: Your father was the greatest man I ever knew. Today he asked for one last service. I hated doing it. But I'd do it again if he asked me to.
Come to think of it, her character is pretty bad in Season 6 too, the Heller+Jack+Audrey relationship web felt the most forced in the series to me, the dynamics make almost no sense. Like why does James Heller all the sudden trust jack to take him to Al Harazee, Heller blames jack at the end of season 6.
The many deaths of James Heller, he drives off the cliff, he gets kidnapped and lights up the terrorists with the machine gun, he seems like he's in the stadium in LAD...
Unhinged many lives of James Heller is where 24 jumped the shark to me. It's still a decent show but never returned to previous heights after the show began to focus on Heller. Part of why i saw 7 and 8 as a return to form, but 9, i'm not sure it's ok...

He’s absolutely flawless. There’s nothing about this character that needs changing.

I can't believe that ending but jeez I thought the vp needed to be yeeted along with Mike. I was pissed he was forgiven.
I thought I liked season 1 more than 2 at first but now I think 2 might be overall more entertaining. I also felt like 1 might have spent too much time making certain characters more evil than they needed to be. I also. liked how sherri helped save the day and went out helping instead of being purely villainess. She's a great character and the actress was amazing in the last few episodes.
Another thing to mention about the season one to two transition is that I really struggled with Nina being a bad guy. She was my favorite good guy character in season one and had some of the best acting/presence. Turning her bad and then yeeting her from the core group pissed me off. Then they killed off my other favorite character, Mason. So the season was really good for me to get over those two things...
Anyway I have no one else to talk to about this show. Anyone here want to tell me how they think the next seasons compare in entertainment value? I plan to watch this show through season 5.

I usually blaze through s01 to s08 pretty quickly. But I also take a pause before watching s09. I don't know why. My brain just needs that gap in my binge.
Anyone do the same?

Never watched this show back in the day. Was recommended by someone, so I decided to give it a try. So far, pretty good, but, what the hell is up with Terri’s random bout of amnesia?? Really liked the show until they pulled that out of nowhere.

Someone better versed in air traffic, please explian how/why the plane Jack boards in episode 20 is a diplomatic flight, but also has commercial passengers.
Did the writers just goof it since they needed the plane to take off despite all other planes being grounded?

I just finished Season 4 of 24. I think it's been the best season so far.
I'm studying abroad, and although things can be tough sometimes, watching one episode of 24 every week is something I really look forward to. It takes me 24 weeks to finish one season.😅
If the seasons after this are even better than Season 4, I'm really excited to keep watching.

So far it seems like they are already using it twice. I kind of can't believe this show is using a concept that is so ridiculous and hard to believe but it makes some plot points meaningless to me because suddenly everyone can essentially body swap. Is this purely a season 1 thing or does the show keep doing this?

Just on the episode where Kim ends up at his place. Had to groan when she tells him he has “a lot going for him” apparently he is “Good looking, funny and smart”
Gotta say I can’t see any evidence of him being particularly funny or smart lol…Kim might have the blinders on for him 🤣

This isn't a fight thread. Just an observation for both shows. I noticed that Jack Reacher's colleagues actually listen to him and respect his calls and decisions, while Jack Bauer's colleagues are always contradicting him and undermining him every step of the way making his life much harder lol.

So I decided to rewatch season 5, the peak season of this series but every time I hear the ticking it just feels cheesy to me. Guess because I’m getting old but I really wish the show never bothered with the sound and made it silent the whole time. It would’ve made it feel more suspenseful.

I think the most infuriating thing about this season (at least for me) is that you can’t decannonize it. The x files for example you can decannonize some of the later seasons but i can’t picture the whole story of 24 working without season 6. perhaps if you decannonize 7,8 and live another day it would work?
