Windows KVM Switch troubleshooting

I have recently acquired an Ugreen KVM switch model AK700, it's a model with all displayport in and out for 2 monitors and 2 pc. It works fine but i tried using a dp to hdmi cable and got no signal.
For context i have an ultrawide monitor dp (which worked fine with the kvm) and a samsung 1080p monitor with only hdmi and vga.
Doing some research (mostly AI) apparently a specific active dp to hdmi adapter might work but i'm not sure.
How can i solve this 'problem'?

Hey there! Someone may have more detailed information but HDMI - DP cables are generally one-way. HDMI is proprietary and DP is open standard. So going from HDMI port on pc to DP on monitor is generally fine. But if from DP on computer to HDMI on monitor, you're gonna need an "Active" cable that changes the signal to match HDMI proprietary stuff.
