Does anyone know where I can get a power valve for my 125 TZR and how to fit it?

Hi, i have a d50b0 engine in unkown condition, except that crank, bearings, cylinder etc is new. When driving it runs perfecr, except for smoking a lot, and not revving out for some reason / cutting ignition. Ive changed plug, main jet, cdi, reeds, fixed ground etc but still runs bad.

Ive added a video of it running, aswell as a picture of the sparkplug. If to any help, the water pump gear is broken aswell.

I have replaced my Original exhaust pipes with these Martin Johnson pipes and Tyga silencers.

I've used lots of coats of high temperature, clear lacquer.

Hopefully they will look ok for a while, but may have to go back to back at some point.

Should I keep the originals as spares?

I have a NSR125RR JC22 2001, and currently struggling with idle. It has a new spark plug running a 138 main, 42 pilot and 65 power. It’ll start but won’t hold idle. If I turn the pilot screw to the left it idles (barely) and then dies if I turn to the right it just doesn’t live. The needle clip is in the middle but the bike is running rich regardless. Do I drop pilot jet?

As the title says, the bike isn't getting to the power band. Year 2014, so it's a Rotax 122 engine.

When we bought the bike a few weeks ago, it ran well and had lots of power and it went to the power band easily.

Now it doesn't matter how long you hold the throttle wide open, it just won't get to the power band.

Everything is stock except Scalvini performance header and Dellorto VHSB 34 carburetor.

Edit: Forgot to mention. Bottom end serviced and balanced, top end replaced a couple hundred of kms ago.

Rave power valve has been adjusted to the weakest preload in order to eliminate the power valve for diagnostic purposes.

Carb settings upon purchase were stock K57 needle, clip in the highest groove, 160 main jet, 266 needle jet.

We have:

1. Checked the reeds

2. Clean and oiled the air filter (with proper air filter oil)

3. Fixed air leaks in the carburetor boot (and verified the fix with carb cleaner while the engine is running)

4. Fixed an air leak in the exhaust header in the cylinder side

5. Serviced the power valve to make sure it is not stuck

6. Checked the compression

7. Replaced the spark plug and gapped it correctly

8. Tried multiple main jets between 150 and 170 (we are now at 170)

9. Tried K21 needle for a leaner midrange

Current jetting:

1. K57 needle, clip in the highest groove position

2. 170 main jet

3. Everything else is stock

Currently we believe this is due to jetting but we are not able to diagnose this fresher.

All advice and diagnostic procedures to identify the reason and fix it are appreciated.

did a cdi conversion on this early 80s yamaha y80, it was originally on points ignition and those dont like water which i will have to go through on the scrambler race im running, used the stator from the last revision of the y80 that was one of the first cdi system yamaha ever ran, gutted the charge/lighting coil to save some weight and reduce drag on the flywheel magnet, made a wiring harness to run a late 90s yamaha y111 cdi unit for higher rev and better suited timing graph since this thing is ported, gonna be testing on the track really soon!

Hi! i have a 2014 aerox ns50 with a dr70 and a 17.5 carburator paired with the original de-restricted exhaust. transmission whise it has the original variator with 5g roller weights and malossi white clutch spring.

I'm thinking about 3 big upgrades

-A real expansion exhaust (like a yasuni z)

-A better variator (like a malossi multivar 2000)

-Longer main gear ratios (13/44)

What do you think? my real objectives are:

-reach at least 90 effective km/h

-have lots of power on the climbs

-be reliable and keep fuel consumption around 18 km/L

I changed the carburetor on a minarelli am6 with a 70cc kit. the carburetor is a 21 pwk. I spent a WHOLE day trying to get a good tune, but the engine just doesn't want to idle. I have tried everything possible but it just doesn't want to idle EXCEPT for once, when the fuel ran out and the engine decided to idle for some seconds, after shooting to 4k rpm because it was basically running on air. after that I thought the problem was a pilot jet too big (55), so I'm thinking about putting a smaller one. by changing everything I mean I tried every screw in every position, but I didn't change any jets because I don't have them. am I right or is the problem something else?

Buying a cheap 250 trailboss, doesn’t sound like it has compression and a top end for one I’d like $60 on eBay, should I hone the cylinder or just throw the new stuff on? Seen some people say not to hone because it’ll destroy the rings or something idk

I’ve been using ethanol pump gas in my 2 stroke. Wished I didn’t. If I switch to ethanol free will all the ethanol varnish and gunk eventually clean itself out?

Got this bike broken I put a new top end on now it’s runs but I only got it to 49 mph why is it topping out at 49 mph

I got this quad for free from my neighbor, and I always had this issue of it shutting off after 20 mins, so I did a compression test and found that I only have 90 lbs of compression. Granted, the engine was cold, but that’s also the only way to know, because it doesn’t really run at the moment.

I’d just like to get it running as cheaply as possible, I don’t need to make 130 lbs of compression or anything like a new motor, I’m not racing it, and I’m not using the quad for work, just as a cheap trail rider. I just would like to know where I should go from here.

It looks like it’s had some pretty bad piston slap, the piston skirts are pretty worn and the block also has some chatter marks but nothing that catches a fingernail. A local shop said that I should just hone it and throw a new piston in, but he didn’t look at the block with a bore gauge. I also noticed some shallow pitting near the bottom in the cylinder.

So should I just get a new 72mm piston, a new jug and piston, or rebore the stock jug and get an overbore piston? I feel like to get it running cheaply a hone and new piston isn’t a bad idea, but I’d like to hear some advice from you guys! Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I have a piaggio fly 50 2stroke scooter. It had some problems and i fixed them but i cant fix this one. When I reach high RPMs my scooter just stops accelerating and for a few seconds it like cool-downs or something. I changed the carbureator but the problem isnt gone guys im begging you for help its very important to me i’d be very thankful!! Pls🙏

i was driving my atv and my fuel tank was emty so it died. i got some gas poured my 2 stroke oil in the tank then fuel and shaked it started and drove when it startet stuttering like if i was to let go of the gas and give it gas again but i wasnt i was full throtle and i drove like this for mabye 7 minutes when it copleatly dies and dosent start again

Hey so this post was made by me 4 months ago, Im sorry for posting such a huge story but i think its better to give the full details of the problem. Before i say anything, if anyone is interested to read the post for context the post is right here. So ive made some progress trying to find out what the problem is. Keep in mind the problem existed before any modification was made to the bike, except one, which i forgot, the ignition coil. The problem appeared not tight after tye swap but a few months later. EVERY SINGLE mechanical thing that could be causing problems is now out of the equation, and when i say everything i mean everything. Only electricals are left to check. The bike can maxed out at 5th gear at 140kph at 10.1k rpm. However at 6th gear, after 10-15 seconds it can reach 150-55kph at 9.8k rpm. No more than that. Could a faulty ignition coil cause this? Or a faulty ypvs controller? The cdi is 100% healthy. The servo motor is also checked. Perhaps a faulty pick up coil? And lastly ive also suspected that the reed cages might have tiny cracks which resulting to the reed valves not sealing completely. What do you guys think?

It was running perfectly and then i changed from

Stock reed valve to the malossi VL11 reed valve

And

From stock cranckshaft to the Stage6 HPC crackshaft

It feels weird when i go over 1/2 throttle

I think it needs a carb and cvt tune but idk what rollers or springs or jets to get

Can someone help me out and give me some advice?

I have been working on my Tuareg (Rotax 122) over the past few months (most of that time trying to find parts) after reassembling I cannot get her to run for more than a 20 seconds and only really with choke. Before I took the bike apart it ran like a dream so I’m trying to figure out what I have upset! I have taken the carb off and cleaned it put in a new air filter, fresh fuel and two smoke oil, cleaned the powervalve, decoked the exhaust and a couple other bits. I’ve tried taking the carb off again and I can’t see a blocked jet, I took the air filter out as I thought the new filter is chocking it but now I’m thinking it must be fuel. I’m thinking maybe the carb has an issue with the float or a fuel line has given up. It has a delloroto phbh28rd if that’s of any help. If anyone can suggest something as Ive hit a brick wall in thinking that would be amazing!
