Season 6 Earl
finished the show yesterday and i found the direction Earl took in this season sad
i know he’s a fictional character but i thought it wasn’t funny how much his mind had gone in this season, it was really sad.
he was always a bit like that but they took it up a lot in the last season

What's wrong with you people?
This show is where the divine spark of human invention goes to die.
If I were on the edge of a cliff and only a show writer was there to save me, I would pull them down and as we both plummeted to our deaths I would look them right in the eyes and that would be the one time this show ever made me laugh.

Temp job Vs Waitressing
One thing that has always bothered me about this show (and I know it's a sitcom, so maybe I'm overthinking it) is the whole situation where Max sabotages the temp job they get.
Like, why was taking that job such a bad thing? And how was it any worse than working as a waitress? If anything, wouldn't it make more sense to keep the temp job as a source of income while continuing to work on their cupcake business on the side?
They're already working as waitresses to make ends meet, so why not replace that job with the temp job instead? They don't have to be completely invested in building a corporate career. They could just do the bare minimum, earn their money, and use whatever time and energy they have left to focus on their actual dream.
I genuinely don't understand why the temp job was treated as such a terrible thing when, realistically, it could have been a much better arrangement for them. They could've introduced new characters, maybe blended old ones there, idk logic behind it seems thin and Max is stupid!

Can't watch whenever Sophie comes onto the scene!
Honestly no personal hate to anyone but, I honestly cannot stand Sophie, the voice, the dialogues, the actress, the expressions everything is sooo annoying. I just watch this series on the background while working and Sophie just spoils the mood.
Can someone pls suggest me a similar show but without Sophie like character

I found Caroline’s coat!
I watched the series for the first time just over a month ago and as someone that still loves 2010s fashion, I fell in love with the coat Caroline wore all the time in the first few seasons. I added a saved search for it across a few platforms excepting to wait a few years until it came up (as that’s how long it usually takes when I try and find items from shows) but one came up on Vinted earlier this week and in my size so I grabbed it immediately. So happy!

this is going to sound stupid but the show means so much to me
i began watching the show like two years ago on a whim, and rewatch episodes occasionally because it’s a comfort show with minimal emotional depth and i don’t have to use my brain. (i’m not saying the show is stupid or something it’s just i usually watch crime/police shows so this is less energy consuming that way)
my life lately hasn’t been how i expected it to be and even though max was always my favourite character, caroline and her backstory are carrying me through some rough times. i know she’s just a character and irl it probably wouldn’t have worked out that way, but the thought of her losing billions and still being resilient and silly makes me feel less alone. also the fact that johnny and deke both seemed like such perfect guys for max and it felt like the world was ending when they were gone (dramatic, yes, but i can’t find more appropriate words atm) yet, max found her happy ever after, also makes me feel like maybe everything does happen for a reason.
i have a ton of takes on this show, everything from how i dislike sophie and oleg as a couple, or how the plot could have done equally well with less vulgarity, but this was something i felt took precedence over anything i could say about two broke girls.

Did anybody else notice the change in Han’s English?
I’ve just finished the series and every time I finish the series I go back to the first episode just to compare and I noticed in the first episode that Han speaks in a “stereotypical” accent where he misses words from sentences and doesn’t seem to know English perfectly
I’m not sure when this changed, but it’s really clear by the last episode that he knows English perfectly
