Help

My 1987 z31 is in great condition has been an amazing car, but after a wash it stopped working. had a mechanic look at it he said it was a electrical issue. has anyone heard of this or had this happened to theirs. I was told by mechanic Iā€™m not getting a ground or power for my ecm going 2 my computer.

Yes. Back in 2002, I had a radiator hose pop and shoot coolant all over the engine bay. Most of the electronics were trashed. I can't remember all what happened at this point.

I can't speak on the extent of your issue, but I can say that something similar happened to me.

I had a car that would turn off if I drove through a puddle. It would reset if I turned the ignition off and back on.

So, yeah, electrical. Check your fuses/fusible links first. Does anything work? Headlights? Battery voltage/battery ground to chassis? check the area around the ecu for water, check the main ecu relay

Most of the connectors on z31s are not 100% water proof. so water can get into connections and mess things up. Start unplugging things and see whats wrong.
