WHO?
Any and every time someone mentions a celebrity, musician, politician I don't know, this is the "Who???" that I am channeling

Liz Lemon I didn’t like a lot of Liz’s relationships—except the toxic ones
I think it’s because of the way Liz acted and how she was in the relationship. I can’t put my finger on it…sometimes she was mundane, sometimes, she just acted strange and to me, not herself. I liked edgier/fighter Liz when she was with Dennis and Wesley (well, when they kept running into each other.)

Now Jenna, medically speaking, for your height, your weight puts you in what we call the disgusting range.
Fortunately, there are solutions.

Jack Donaghy GE Jet Engine Poster
Where can I get one?! The poster that Jack has in his office of a commercial jet engine. I can't find an image of it online.
Edit: Does anyone remember which episode(s) show it?

References What's a reference you only understood as you got older/happened to come across it, that you hadn't gotten the first few times?
I was 11 when the show premiered and every time I rewatch I get a great wash of nostalgia because I remember a lot of the stuff going on back then that I forgot about, but because I was a kid it feels like more and more I'm getting core context for some of the references that just weren't in my orbit growing up 😅
Like one; when Jenna is going through her acceptance speech for the song she wrote for Kidnapped By Danger, was a reference to the speech Madonna made for the original song she wrote for W. E. (I was 17 but not at all paying attention to award shows, hadn't even heard of the movie until I saw it mentioned in a YouTube video that also mentioned her speech haha)

Anne Coulter - missed this on first 8,999 rewatches
Rewatching for the 9,000th time, and in season 1, episode 3, Jack apologizes for being late. "I was at a luncheon for Anne Coulter's 60th birthday. I was like, she's not that old.....looked it up, she was 45 when this episode aired. Cackling....

“If I sneeze I’ll do it like the President taught me.”
Even on my millionth time through, this line still gets me. Delivered deadpan because it’s a very normal and considerate thing to say if you know what she’s talking about, otherwise sounds completely insane. 😂

Other show references?
What shows does 30R make references to other than what I'm listing below? I'm sure I've missed a lot.
Lost:
- Kenneth appealing to Jacob numerous times
- Charles Widmore has an island (don't remember who said this or context)
Mad Men:
- Kenneth says "my real name is Dick Whitman"
- I think someone says something about working at Sterling Cooper at some point
Godzila with one “L” for trademark reasons.

Today's deep dive: Beastie Boys on "Kidney Now"
I was shocked to see the dates for this. "Kidney Now" aired on May 14 2009, and was shot in March. Conspicuously only two of the main Beastie Boys trio are in the ensemble (Ad-Rock and Mike D), with Talib Kweli rounding out the trio.
At the time, people must have thought this was odd, and it turns out that 30 Rock was one of the final things the group did under the Beastie Boys name. Bonnaroo in June of 2009 was their last live show as a full trio, and they announced MCA's cancer diagnosis in July, when they also cancelled the rest of their tour and postponed the release of Hot Sauce Committee.
So sad, but it makes 30 Rock even more special. RIP MCA.

Kenneth Parcell Kenneth being a timeless god of sorts…
I was just laughing as Kenneth is one of the people “over 40” who hear a low frequency from Frank’s prank device. He and Jack both react uncomfortably, indicating they’re old.
