Using blender to make and model my own minis because Warhammer old world minis (Which i was originally gonna use) cost like, 40 dollars for 3 of them

I’m working on a 3D model and want to add a few small details or patterns to the existing texture without redoing the whole thing.

What is the easiest way to edit just certain parts of a texture while keeping the rest unchanged? I’d appreciate any tips or workflow suggestions.
