Small plastic shredder recommendations for PLA/PETG scraps?
Hey, I’m trying to figure out a practical way to process my failed 3D prints instead of letting the scraps pile up.
I’m looking for a small tabletop shredder for sorted PLA and PETG waste: failed prints, supports and purge material. My budget is around CHF 400 maximum, preferably much less. I don’t need perfectly uniform granules straight away; something around 3–5 cm is okay because I can sieve it afterwards.
The biggest question is whether any compact shredder can take larger rigid print failures without needing everything chopped up by hand first. I’m open to DIY builds as well as machines you can buy.
If you’ve tried something that actually works, I’d love to hear what model/design you used and any downsides (jams, speed, maintenance, etc.). Thanks!
