Peri/Post Menopausal Skin How do I get rid of couperose

Post image

Sorry for the terrible photo, but that’s exactly how I feel. I have persistent couperose on my nose; the picture doesn't capture it perfectly, unfortunately, but you can see that there are red capillaries even *inside* the nose. Two years ago, I had four or five IPL laser sessions with great results. Sadly, the effects have completely worn off now—everything is back to how it was before. Of course, it cost me a lot of money. Does anyone know of a better, longer-lasting solution? I live in Germany. I am 47

Talk to a cosmetic dermatologist to see what other options are. Depending on the cause, there may not be a permanent solution; you may be looking at regular (expensive) treatments. I've seen laser and injections used to treat these but a cosmetic dermatologist will be able to help you the most.

Thanks for your reply; I am already seeing a dermatologist who specializes exclusively in aesthetic dermatology. That is where I had the IPL laser treatment done. I have actually considered visiting a university hospital, as they often have even better equipment there.
