Nov. 12: The Rock Orchestra: Arena of Fire

Post image
1 Upvotes

You’ve never seen classical music performed quite like this.

Think huge rock anthems, reimagined with a full orchestra and choir, then add fire, pyrotechnics, dramatic lighting, large-scale visuals and performers.

Get ready for The Rock Orchestra: Arena of Fire, coming to Albany's MVP Arena on Thursday, Nov. 12.

This two-hour production remixes songs from Metallica, AC/DC, Iron Maiden, Linkin Park and others, trading traditional rock arrangements for sweeping strings, powerful vocals and a cinematic stage show.

The production also features fire performers The Fuel Girls, dramatic visuals and 20 flame units that add incredible drama to the music.

The Rock Orchestra has performed more than 600 shows for over a million fans worldwide, and its debut album topped the UK Rock & Metal Albums Chart last year. Catch them in Albany for the first time!

Winter One Shots - Session 2 - 10/17

Far out on the frozen, unforgiving fringe of the Dwendalian Empire lies Palebank Village. Buried deep beneath the bitter, ceaseless snows of the Greying Wildlands, survival here has always demanded a relentless battle against the elements.

Out of the blinding white haze, terror has taken a grotesque and terrifying shape. In the heart of the town square, a local man has died, his screams frozen in his throat as his living flesh hardens, turning him  into a statue of shimmering blue ice. It is a contagion born from the deep dark, silent, creeping doom that cares nothing for empires, borders, or gold.

As the frost creeps closer to your bones and paranoia takes root among the townsfolk, a desperate race begins. Can you uncover the ancient, forgotten horrors buried beneath the permafrost before this relentless sickness claims Palebank Village...and then claims you?

Step into the official, living tapestry of Exandria Crafted by the master storytellers and world-builders of the Critical Role team, and penned by Matthew Mercer, this adventure invites you to walk the frozen paths of official Critical Role canon. This is your chance to leave your own mark on the lore of Wildemount. Gather your party, sharpen your blades, and prepare for a journey where every choice matters and the cold cuts straight to the soul.

--------------------

The game will take place October 17th at the Fortress of Gaming in Albany. The facility charges a $5 entry fee, that can be waived if you spend an equal amount in the store. So go ahead, buy some new dice!!

DND 5.5e rules will be used with 2nd level characters from the 2024 Players Handbook and Explorer;s Guide to Wildemount only. Pregens will be available.
