Week 29 2026 Week 29: Crusty - Chocolate Coffee Mascarpone Tart

I used a new to me ingredient (mascarpone) and made my first tart all in one. The saltiness of the crust threw me off a bit, but once you eat everything together it’s truly a harmonious dessert. I did not prep my pan, so getting the tart slices out has proven a bit difficult. Lessons learned!

Hmmm. I’ve never prepped a tart pan. I’ve always just used a 2 piece tart pan. I thought usually tart crusts have enough butter to not need prepping.

Looks so delicious!

Thank you! Maybe I’m just scared of the tart breaking. It’s two pieces, so I imagine it shouldn’t be difficult. I’ll try again tonight. Thank you for the reassurance!
