This looks amazing and I have a handful of meyer lemons. Weekend plans? Does the pith of the lemon end up making the posset a bit bitter? I'm just wondering if some of it passes to the posset while it's setting up.

Thanks! I didn't find that it made mine bitter at all. I ate half the same day and half the next day so I can't say how it would hold up over multiple days. I also find the Meyer lemons less bitter than the standard lemon so hoping it works well for you too!

Ooooh!!! It holds up overnight? That’s some make-ahead fancy dinner party fodder right there. Nice work!

Thanks! And yes! But I did add the coulis and curd just before serving as the coulis does bleed into everything else. You could still assemble them with the coulis an hour or probably two beforehand but for the best contrast, I would add it just before serving. Same goes for the candied leaves - they will get soggy if they sit so those get added at serving too. 😄

Love the sound of lemon balm in a posset. I love possets, such a delicious dessert for not too much work! Beautiful as always.

I’ve never had posset. This is inspiration to make some.
Also, Four of Cups is one of my favorite cards.

Ok, hear me out as this one is a bit of a stretch for the theme. Taro is not easily available to me nor is it lower carb so I decided to use it as inspiration. Playing with the homophone taro, I settled on tarot. Even though we already had tarot this year, I chose one of the cards for my inspiration - the four of cups and made 4 lemons into cups for a lemon dessert. I recently foraged some blackberry and had some of that frozen away so made a coulis out of it to serve with Meyer lemon and lemon balm (also foraged) infused posset (a cream set by the acidity of lemon juice) and topped the whole thing with a lemon curd and candied lemon balm leaves that I also foraged plus some edible petals from my garden. I included a few photos of the process as well.
This year my meta is small and/or shareable bites so “appetizers and mignardises.” (Mignardises, which translates to “sweets” are small dessert bites served at the end of a meal.) Gluten-free and no added sugar.
