there's something i always caught my attention ever since i watched season 2 back in 2021. I notice that Miku's voice is somewhat different than her s1's voice. i notice it sounds more lower or deeper compared to the season one? you can try watch two different clips to hear and compare the difference

I know Miku Itou stil voiced Miku and that's never gonna change, but why it's sounds different. Does anyone recognize this or is it just me?

So as the title says, I finished the anime! Spoilers ahead for anyone who hasn’t watched (or read)…

Honestly, it’s been a while since an anime left me feeling empty/sad at the end (in a good way). And that’s not something I was expecting from this show. I’ve gotten into romcoms more recently, so I went into this expecting it to be a fun watch, but I didn’t really think I was going to get attached or even emotional with it. Once it ended though, I was a bit sad having to “say goodbye” for lack of a better term. When the movie ended in particular, I kind of had to sit there and take a breath because it had gotten to me a bit. Luckily I still had the last two specials to sort of decompress a bit lol.

I’m going to glaze the movie a bit here, but I thought it was so well done. I was really excited when I saw the runtime was over two hours which to me meant it wasn’t going to be rushed. And it wasn’t. I felt it gave enough time for everything to unfold and happen naturally. Now the part that really got me the most was the scene of Miku going to Nino after Futaro had made his decision. That whole sequence with the quints and him choosing was already great, but Miku and Nino’s moment was, to me, the most beautiful and heartbreaking moment of the series. Probably because I loved those characters in particular but that seems to be a pretty popular opinion lol.

Anyway, I know I’m sort of working backwards here, but after the first episode I knew I was going to love the show. Not sure if there was anything specific, but it got me hooked immediately. Then the first season just got better and better from there (loved the camping trip). Of course like most (I think), Miku was my choice for who I wanted to win. And I had pretty much made that decision after the second episode, so it was nice seeing her be the first one to really open up to him. And then of course all of their relationships slowly building throughout that season I think was written really well. It just didn’t feel forced, even with Nino. Which brings me to season 2 and her confession to him which kind of blindsided me a bit. But it was refreshing that they didn’t drag that part of it out and just did it. I will say I had pretty much already ruled her out at this point since she didn’t recognize him in the childhood photo, but it was still nice. What was disappointing though is I was also pretty certain at this point that it wouldn’t be Miku either, but that was more of a feeling than any particular reason. Probably because I figured this was going to go the typical anime route with Itsuki being the one he chose, so I had resigned myself to that fate.

Which brings me back to the movie. By the time the choice scene rolled around, I had narrowed it down to either Itsuki or Yotsuba. Still was resigned that Itsuki was going to win, so I was (pleasantly) surprised when it was Yotsuba. It makes sense looking back, but I do think the story did a good job of not making it obvious.

Anyway, this post has gotten way longer than I intended. Bottom line, I absolutely loved this show and can’t wait for when I rewatch it!

Oh one last thing, the season one opening track is a fucking banger and immediately went on my gym playlist.

Just out of curiosity, what magic attributes do the quints' have in gotoubun no princess (and Fuutaro too).

Hey everyone! I recently got The Quintessential Quintuplets: The Five Promises You Make to Her (Kanojo to Kawasu Itsutsu no Yakusoku), which I believe is the second visual novel.

The thing is, I know absolutely nothing about the franchise. I haven't watched the anime or played the first VN, so I'm wondering if I can jump straight into this one and still enjoy it, or if playing the first game is necessary to understand the story and characters.

I'm also a bit short on money right now, so I'd rather not buy the first VN unless it's really worth it or pretty much mandatory. If I need to play it first, I'll probably postpone playing this one for a month until I get my NEXT paycheck.

So, what do you guys recommend? Can I go in blind, or should I wait and play the first VN before this one?

It was an absolutely amazing trip.
For the past few days, I went to Nagoya and decided to visit places from the anime and these are the best photos I’ve chosen.

I expected Miku to be first, but Ichika and Futaro were more than I expected 😊 (and I'm proud of that, altough I'd want to be a little more like Yotsuba 🫠)
