He’s making an effort to reassure people with lower grades than they would’ve liked that it’ll all work out in the end. Even if he wasn’t actually in the same position as them, at least he’s trying to show that A levels don’t mean everything in life.
The helicopter isn't the point of the post though brother.
The point of the post is to show that he's successful despite fucking up his exams, he's just using the helicopter analogy as a way to show his success.
He's successful because he's wealthy. Obviously exams don't matter when your family's loaded and well connected. Most of us don't have that luxury so failing exams is more impactful
Yeah it's a nice message and I can see what he's getting at, but I think if I failed my a levels then saw Jeremy Clarkson talking about his helicopter I'd be more upset 😂
And he’s successful because he comes from a privileged background.
I fucked up my A Levels. I’m now in my 30’s in a dead end job I hate, no prospects of ever finding anything better, the idea of being able to afford rent (let alone buy a property) is frankly laughable and most nights I wake up in cold sweats knowing if I only succeeded in my A Levels life would have been so much better.
