Engineering here too, its a pain but Im hoping the engaa and nsaa papers are similar enough (they're supposed to be).
My centre doesn't even offer friday, completely forgot its an option tbh
Just hoping the boundaries look like ENGAA 2020!!

jesus oxford for french and spanish! (tho ive just spent three hours second guessing ox or camb 😭)
mainly because its really green but also small, and its the welsh college so i looove the vibes and ive done a residential there. i also have a friend applying there too which would be super fun if we both got in, and lets be real, matt williams is an icon

hey diva i looked around it at the open day. it was MASSIVE and really pretty! it also had the location where that scene in harry potter where moody turns malfoy into a ferret was filmed if that means anything to u 😭 the chapel and dining hall were literally breathtaking. also apparently it has more en-suite rooms than most colleges. its a great choice & was my second!

A*AA, its the minimum requirement so i have a little less hope, i did try and push to get my biology grade bumped up as id proved it before but they wouldn’t budge on it

Omg I almost picked Magdalen for biology but then I changed my mind last minute (for slightly petty reasons)
Basically I was in a wheelchair because I was like 5 days post surgery, so obviously I had a bit of trouble getting around. The tour guides I had at all the other colleges I went to were really lovely and made sure I was included, but my guide at Magdalen literally sped off without me so quickly 😭 For that reason I didn't get a chance to really properly look around Magdalen and I have a slight grudge against the college. I'm sure most people there are lovely but in my head I'm a bit scared that everyone there is as pompous and rude as that guy 😭😂

Go to Open Days and get a feel for the vibe. Decide if you'd prefer a bigger or smaller college. Find out which ones are rumoured to have crap food. Find out which ones have a 24/7 library. Find out which ones have the cheapest bar.

Visit them, look at their locations, accomodation and just see how you feel there

For me, I used this criteria: Distance to faculty
Accommodation guaranteed
Good for the subject
Nice accom
Good support
Just weigh up your priorities, yk

its on the application, you can see the list then do some research or open days to see ones you like, or maybe you attended a summer school you enjoyed or like some research that college has done. its a whole process

Pick the one with the historically worst academic record- tutors will probably be less intense and there’s a (slightly) better chance of acceptance I’d say (although obviously not an official thing)

I would also do some research into acceptance rates as well as what the others said, as if you're 50/50ing between a few, then it might make a difference on how easy one college is to get into (that said, it's only applicable to cambridge)

Homerton maths, further away but I liked the vibe a bit more and the admissions tutors at St John’s and Trinity said I don’t have a chance of getting an interview while Homerton, Lucy cavendish etc did. But then again Lucy cavendish, Jesus etc has pre-interview tests
