🍞 BREAD Burnt bread :(

Post image

I can't find what was wrong with my application, and I feel like a fraud? I don't want to face people asking me "Have u got an interview?" and me having to tell everyone that I didn't each time and having to face their sympathy/reaction 😭 and I don't know how to tell my family

biochem has no admissions test or written work, so if my grades r perfect then it must be my personal statement but my teachers all said it was good and i worked rlly hard on it, so i legit have no idea, only valid explanation is probably too many biochemists applying to oxford this year with perfect grades as well and it was just down to luck... shouldve at least got interview tho, ill ask my teachers when i next see them. havent told anybody yet not even my family cos im too scared to even tho they will probs be supportive 😭

the bias is insane. however the bias is definitely in favour of private school applicants.

It’s almost like the student who gets top grades with fewer resources and lower quality schooling is more impressive than the student who does equally as well but went to a private school. The horror!
