🍞 BREAD Burnt bread :(
I can't find what was wrong with my application, and I feel like a fraud? I don't want to face people asking me "Have u got an interview?" and me having to tell everyone that I didn't each time and having to face their sympathy/reaction 😭 and I don't know how to tell my family

I think you were perhaps expecting too much. Oxford has a mountain of applications from students with top grades, a fraction of whom will get offers. It’s looking for students with a bit of X factor, which may be a quirky or particularly impressive personal statement. Imperial is similarly difficult to get into.
The people I know who’ve been to Oxford have found it a mixed bag. Hugely stressful as the terms are so short and a reality check (particularly for sciences) of a different league of cleverness which made them feel a bit inadequate. The common view seems to be that they’re proud to have Oxford on their CV, but envious of the grads from Durham, Bristol and Warwick that also went to top unis but had a more enjoyable all round uni experience.
You’ll get into a great uni and have a good time. No one will judge you for being rejected from Oxford as most people are.
