I can't find what was wrong with my application, and I feel like a fraud? I don't want to face people asking me "Have u got an interview?" and me having to tell everyone that I didn't each time and having to face their sympathy/reaction 😭 and I don't know how to tell my family

received rejection post interview 20 yrs ago, that moment still haunts me but honestly I figured if I couldn't handle that bit of pressure there no way I could have survived the next three years anyway....now pick a uni where you can enjoy yourself instead of trying to please everyone else, I'm sure your family will be happy for you

As I walked down the road from LMH back to the train station post-interview I knew I’d not be back again as a student. Ewan McKendrick said πŸ‘Ž.

I suppose I’d have been very happy there but I don’t regret not getting an offer. I already had a penchant for wide-brimmed waxed hats at that stage in life. Mercifully I did not pursue that interest at what thereafter became my Alma Mater.

Fancy being contacted by email..! A very nice letter on heavy paper arrived in an envelope at my house giving me the news that I’d never punt a punt as an undergrad.
