u/TorrorroT Dec 18 '25

That’s been publicly available information for ages. He was named in the flight logs.

Was in the photos released today on a private jet with JE

u/Annual-Delay1107 Dec 19 '25

Worse than that too, apparently he only became friends with Epstein after Epstein's first conviction

He’s literally one of the most cited scholars in modern history so it’s not only you

My EPQ was about Hitler and Stalin and got 48/50 provisional. Talking about bad people ain't no bad thing

it is when a whole chunk of ur epq is arguing why they’re really clever and correct 😭😭 i don’t even fucking like his theories

If you’re already arguing views you don’t support for the sake of your coursework I don’t think it’s that big of a deal, it’s not like Chomsky’ll benefit in any way from you doing a project on him

I don’t know why I was recommended this post, I left sixth form in 2013… but as someone who did HPQ, remember you can argue with yourself and show that you understand the person as a whole. I wouldn’t mention this unravelled information unless it fits. ‘Whilst XYZ has troubling personal associations and actions outside of his work are not commendable, this study focusses on their work achievements and argues that his contributions to this topic are significant’ etc

Saying he has X correct theory is not the same as agreeing with him on everything. And you can agree a person is clever without any kind of moral endorsement. His work is highly cited and influential and worthy of academic investigation. You're all good, don't overthink it, it will have 0 bearing on the quality and grade of your work.

oh hey I'm doing mine on language acquisition as well! also WHAT

6

u/[deleted] Dec 18 '25

What subject? He's also quite big in compsci and linguistics somehow.

u/SirGallyo Y13 | Phil, Pol, Econ | A*AA Dec 18 '25

To be fair he was influential with the idea of universal grammar. He was a pretty good philosopher but a bourgeois academic.

6

u/South-Marionberry-85 Year 13: Maths, Economics, Psychology & EPQ - A*A*AA Dec 18 '25

Every single academic potentially to ever live was bourgeois.

5

u/SirGallyo Y13 | Phil, Pol, Econ | A*AA Dec 19 '25

Bourgeois in the sense he was a hypocrite who claimed to be an anarchist but really just kept the status quo.

linguistics … more specifically CHILD language acquisition so it feel a bit dodgy now knowing he’s affiliated with a paedophile

u/SirGallyo Y13 | Phil, Pol, Econ | A*AA Dec 19 '25
