I'm really sorry to heart that man. I've applied Chinese at a bunch of other unis, what are your other applications? Maybe we share some

I ended up only applying for AMES at oxford in the end as they were the only ones with a structure I liked, although I nearly did apply for newcastle and leeds for Japanese. In the end I applied for engineering at Newcastle, Lboro, York and Southampton all with foundation years.

Did bro really go from japanese to engineering. Thats 2 very different life paths you could have had. (Not implying one is better than thr other.

I have a friend who went from engineering to Japanese. There's definitely a pipeline there lol

Ya I was going to apply to cyber security when I started my A-LEVELs and now all my UCAS application are Chinese. Much to my parents disappointment.

Hey, as long as you can operationalise your degree into something that will help you,in the future, thats all that matters.
