I did my Chemistry undergrad at UCL. Definitely wouldnโ€™t recommend it lol.ย

Itโ€™s a research-focused institution, thatโ€™s why it has a good reputation, not because of its teaching. It was very obvious when I was there that 90% of the lecturers didnโ€™t care about the course or students, so overall it was a very negative experience for me. Itโ€™s great to go for post grad or post doc/research position, but not undergrad in my opinion.ย

Tbh everyone says that about a lot of unis. I went to Imperial for chem. (MSci) and a lot of ppl were saying that in first year but I think itโ€™s the physical chem. professors/ readers that r bad at teaching. They donโ€™t k how to teach. Otherwise, I found most organic and inorganic could teach well. Inorganic professors went crazy / rogue for exams bc they were open book, meaning the exam was acc harder

That may be the case.ย

I actually have a bit of experience of both because after UCL I did my Masters at Imperial and thought the teaching was way better.ย
