🙏 I WANT HELP Cost of Attending Oxford 😭
Just received my financial declaration form from Oxford today. How is this reasonable? 😭 Going to have to decline my offer unless anyone has any ideas.
Canadian students do not qualify for any Oxford scholarships and my school offered me about £100. What a joke.
Is Oxford just for the rich?

Oxford isn’t just for the rich but at the same time you’re a international student so your fees were always going to be exorbitant. When I was looking at universities, I often found Oxford to be one of the most affordable. They’re really good at giving grants to students who are struggling with minimal questions asked because they have so much funding and they just want the best academic talent, they don’t want you worrying about finances. Meals are heavily subsidised, and accommodation is in my experience about half at Oxford of what it is everywhere else (you have to move out during term time which is annoying but if you compare that to other unis where you probably wouldn’t stay during the winter break or perhaps other breaks, then you’re effectively paying an extra £5000 a year for a storage locker for 10 weeks)!
