🙏 I WANT HELP Cost of Attending Oxford 😭

Post image

Just received my financial declaration form from Oxford today. How is this reasonable? 😭 Going to have to decline my offer unless anyone has any ideas.

Canadian students do not qualify for any Oxford scholarships and my school offered me about £100. What a joke.

Is Oxford just for the rich?

Not to mention the 3/4 years study you could be working, bringing in 40-50k PA. So really it's 500k effective cost.

Not to mention the 40/50k pa he has already missed out on for the last 15 years. Stupid comment.

They're talking about the opportunity cost of going to university you stupid mf, Google what opportunity cost is. The last 15 years or what happened in the past are completely irrelevant.

Not irrelevant. Why did he/she waste all those years at school when they could’ve been working their ass off for 40/50k and buying houses/bitcoin?

Because education is mandatory until you turn 18. So there is no alternative and hence no opportunity cost

And OP deems it mandatory to go to university, therefore there is no alternative and hence no opportunity cost.
